sony can own microsoft by bits and pieces and over time own them Huh? sony is bigger and could take more then half of microsoft shares then buy them its simple and happens to companiesAre you kidding me? Sony being bigger than Microsoft? I don't want to burst your bubble, but MS is one of, if not THE, biggest and richest companies in the world
Â
if sony really wanted to put a hurt on MS all they would have to do is create a rival OS system for PC's and then distribute the software for free for use on all new PC's and exsiting PC's, remeber ms is a software company (except for the 360 and zune), that right there would take a big chunck of ms's money away. sony is the 2nd largest electronics manufacturer (remember they make everything you can think of from t.v.'s to toasters to gaming systems to computers), and it would take ms allot more than making a better gaming system to hurt sony to the same degree.

as far as your " Sony being bigger than Microsoft? I don't want to burst your bubble, but MS is one of, if not THE, biggest and richest companies in the world", they make an os, software, then they burn that data to a disk and sell it. how do you kill a snake, you cutt of it's head...... come on sony make a new and better os and cutt of ms's headÂ
Though I understand your logic, first think of the money Sony would lose by making an application meant to rival MS and then sell it for free. I don't think they would take the chance, part of the reason they haven't yet. Second, there are soo many Windows users that won't ever jump to another application because they know Windows works.
I'm not trying to start a heated argument, but the claim that Sony can buy Microsoft is ridiculous. Microsoft is so established that it will not be going anywhere anytime soon.
