gears of war(whats so good about it)?

i think its overrated.

I found it great but very, very short.. I finished single player in under 5 hours and I wasn't keen with its online multiplayer.

Single player has some replay value and co-op but after the 3rd or 4th play though I traded it in.

gears is good, but i dont think it deserved the high score it got. an 8.5 to a 9 would of beenn good. Anyway, i beat it , played online for a bit and sold it. Wasnt a keeper for me, and the reason it did so well in both reviews and sales, was because of allllll the hype it had .

Nah, you're not crazy. I rented that for my 360 and it bored me to tears. Sure, it's pretty, but it just wasn't fun for me. Then again I'm not a 12 year old with ADD.

Also, I was almost expecting you to write the headline out at "Gears of War, Huah, Good God yall, what is it good for? absolutely nothing".

really ...i dont think it is system wars material,and im just saying iv got no beef with GOW i just cant see what is so good about it...im not saying that "oooo killzone will beat it in to the ground" ...i just cant see why people bring it up like americans bring up the war to end any argument with a european.its just nonsenceical.

Gears of war is a very fun game. You can play co-op online and the multi-player is intense. Sure, it's not for everyone, but contrary to Killzone 2, you can actually play it! Trailers are nice but actual games are better!marcus1968

i no but i sed"from what iv seen" and i have played GOW and from what iv seen from that...well u no the rest

I thought it was a great game. It just didn't do anything revolutionary. It still had 2D grass(which every next-gen game does), and it didn't really have destructible environments. The visuals were great...but that was about it. The AI was good.eclipsed4utoo

The a.i. was the most lacking part for me .. I was blasting these locust in the back of the nex standing right behind him and they just kep on blasting at my friend who was taking cover and doing nothing waiting for me to kill them... THat happened a ouple of times.

great game overall...no replay value besides the online though.

sorry to any one who is a masive fan of gears of war i dont mean to bad mouth it. iv played it and year its got good grapics but what eles is so so so good about it....all this yeah yeah but gears of war has...blah blah blah......i cant see any diffrence between that and what iv seen of killzone 2....its just crazy....any one think so or am i crazy?chrisj

Yeah actual games are better, but really think about it. When's the last time you were disappointed by a trailer? And whens the last time you were disappointed by a game? Trailers are much more reliable

Yeah actual games are better, but really think about it. When's the last time you were disappointed by a trailer? And whens the last time you were disappointed by a game? Trailers are much more reliable

playing single player on INSANE, they are better. but the only thing they do is hide.

Short but sweet game, I agree the A button is annoying.

But really it is also one of the most intense games ive played, The Berzerker battles are insane!

uhh...yes they do. Look at some of the 400 topics on Killzone over the past couple of days. You will see all these xbox fanboys come in and say that it won't look better than Gears.

Look guys ask any Xbox 360 owner who isn't a Halo fan (for obvious reasons) and they'll say the things PS3 players are saying. Stuff like its over-hyped, redundant online and single player gameplay, and its story line is more like a bot match of an Unreal Tournament game.

I am a 360 owener and everyone that I know has a 360 and none of us plays it unless we're bored and even then we play together in a lobby since its best that way and when we play we just fool around and talk about stuff (girls, games, movies, you know the basics ) . So I have a feeling that Halo 3 is gonna be the same way (an extremely over hyped game that will be filled with bad-mouthed, ill tempered, racist bastard childeren... I wish I had enough money foir a PS3 last year...

it dosent mater if they dont say it on the ps3 forums ...it is sed all over the place on loads of web sites its like year but gears of war has this and gears has that........exsacly what? does it have...im just asking to see what other people think.
