Yes. The PSP is or was outselling the PSV sells not so long ago. I don't know if the PSP is still outselling it but it will definetaly do until the Vita gets cheaper and gets more games. I recommend buying a PSP1000 battery which will give you about 8 to 10 hours of play or getting the extended PSP battery which give you even more hours. All will work for the 3000. I use the PSP1000 battery on it and barely have to charge it. I charge maybe once or twice a week.
SOOOOO, instead of waiting for the vita to have more games your going to shell out the money for something over 5 years old? Thats just faulty logic. Either safe up that money until you can get the vita with the games you want or get a vita asap and play some games that you normally wont play. Theres a few games I bet you would enjoy. i didnt think I would like Mutant blobs attack and stardrone but they are two of my favs so far
Hmmm its not entirely faulty, while the psp library is on psn its an incomplete library and well getting a vita now is impossible as I don't have 300-400 to shell out for a new vita, games and a memory stickCelsius765yeah you just get a psp and get a bunch of great games for a really low price. But make sure you physically buy the games that are not on the ps store and buy the ones that are on there digital. That way if you get a vita down the line you can transfer the digital ones for free and play them with good dual analog control.
actually ur logic is faulty, cause not only is age nothing but a number, but even if one was to play every passably good game on the vita, thats less than 20 psvita only (non-psp games i mean) titles and thats roundin up. im loving my vita, but if ya cant or can barely afford it, selling ur hair to get one with its few games seems like a waste. handhelds on the whole seem to be pumpin out fewer and fewer gems. 3ds doesnt have many "must own"s either, atleast their in the works. no word on a mgs (edit: actually there is a MGS on the vita, awesome) or gta on the vita makes me a sad panda :( but that "cross buy" thing makes up for it, and i know good games will come, just give it time; plus ps1 classics are coming :)SOOOOO, instead of waiting for the vita to have more games your going to shell out the money for something over 5 years old? What does that have anything to do with it? it doesnt matter how old it is, its still a great handheld to own for people looking for a cheap alternative till the Vita drops in price... Seems to me your logic is faulty.

Unless youre going to purchase a psp for 100 or less its not worth the investment. Should you purchase a dsi right now until you can afford a 3dsxl? Or spend money on a ps3 while waiting for the ps4 to price drop after its been out for only 6 months? Good things come to those who wait. You can get most of the psp games you want on the vita. And the age thing is the only thing that you guys could attack. I love my psp 1000, psp 2000, and my two psp gos, but I would never go back and buy an older product just to wait for a price drop on a new one. JUST WAIT until you can afford it.
Would you buy the iphone 4 just to wait until the ip5 comes out? You going to get the dvd copy of LoTR until you can afford the blueray? I can do this all day...
I might be sold on that white psv, the one that comes bundled with assassins creed--and I don't even care for that game, but it is an adventure game. ...I wonder if the white will look anything like the white iPad.I'm looking to get a new handheld but the vita is expensive for me.I'm more of an action/adventure,rpg, maybe some racing and fighting games here or there sort of gamer. But will a 3000 do till the vita gets more games

Guys, he wants to wait until the PSV has more games. Why is getting a PSP until the PSV has a bigger library stupid? Its not like this will happen in a matter of days or weeks. The PSV library won't have a huge library until maybe a year or 2 from now, same with the 3DS. Both libraries are small and lack games that could be in this guys interests. I am also waiting a few years for the PSV to get a great library of games so that when I go to the shop, I will always have something to look for. I suggest getting the PSP and waiting a year or 2 for the games to come. If the library is still not impressive until then, then I wouldn't even pick one up to be honest.
Thats fine. If he doesnt mind waiting a year or more then by all means get the 3000. But I was under the speculation that he was waiting until the holiday season THIS year. Regardless buy a 3000 second hand and get a large memory card to get your games of the PSN. That way you can easily transfer you games once you get a vita, or in the very least have the option to do so.

hey Celcius :) I understand you. I Just bought a PSP Street today, the 3ds and Vita library aren't mature yet in my opinion, meanwhile there are so many psp games to choose from so I bought one specifically for RPGs, there are lots on the psp. I will get the Vita later in it's life span or if games that I'm interested in release. The vita is still very young. It's not even a year old yet.
To answer your question, Yes, the PSP 3000 will do till Vita gets more games, and a price drop. The psp 3000 will keep you occupied. :) My advice, only buy the games you can't get digitally in physical form, everything else, digital :) so you can play them on your vita in future.

PSP 3000 is a good system. The games are cheap and EB/Gamestop are getting rid of their stock. So now is the time to collect PSP games.
xD soon ish might not be possible.funds are real low i prolly wouldn't be able to afford one this year or next
Exactly. Just save that money and get one of the bundles. Its up to you, but Vita has some great games to play. I've been playing Wipeout, Mod Nation, and Unit 13. Also most of the PSP games online play on the Vita, and play much better I might add. You can map controls to the Vita's right analog stick. I play Gran Turismo, Valkyria Chronicles 2, and SW Elite Squadron a lot on mine.Wait for the holidays, not much point at least in my opinion spending money on the PsP if your just going to get the Vita soonish down the line.
