i am getting a new tv next week, 47LG7000

i am also getting a new PS3 for the downstairs connected to the new TV!! but i am getting my new ps3 in June! hat game can i get in june which will really show of the true next gen graphics!!> and it has to come out between may to july??

Make sure you get killzone 2 if you havent by then. and if you got the cash i suggest you get some surround sound. I played the demo with 37inch LCD and 5.1 Surround sound and its awesome. May / June, cant think of the top of my head any top games that are coming out around then.

i'm not sure what will come out between may-july... but if you're about to get a PS3, you shouldn't miss old titles at that time such as MGS 4, Uncharted, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, etc...

QFT and I couldn't agree more. High def TV/video games is only half the experience, other half being 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound imo. I can't stand playing games without it. If you don't feel like setting up some surround sound, I recommend the Tritton AX360, 5.1 headset and freakin awesome sound. Or atleast get a decent 2.1 amp and 2 floorstanding speakers. :D

Don't forget the HDMI cables...so sad when ppl get those TV's w/o the cable...so sad :-(

mirrors edge is good for testing your tvs contrast i have the pioneer krp -500a and mirrors edge is so white it hurts :P

47 inch, that's odd.... ussualy it's 46!

The first game i bought for my PS3 (and the first game i ever played on HD) is Heavenly Sword... i was very impressed!

Well since 95% of games are made with 720p as the native rersolution including the mighty KZ2, you are wasting your money and time buying a 1080p HDTV, but hey whatever floats your boat buddy. All your expensive 1080p TV is going to do is maybe upscale the native 720p image to a less true 1080p. You aren't going to even notice a difference. 1080p is a big myth this generation. Don't you think that if game designers could make game look and run good at 1080p, they would? Games like RE5, KZ2, Uncharted 2 and others are all native 720p and will look equally amazing on a 720p LCD as they will on a 1080p set.

1080p is definitely not a myth. Its a fact, a fact that depends on your viewing distance. i bought my ps3 for games, but i'd buy it again just for a blu ray player, which plays in 1080/24. as for surround sound... dont just buy anything, do yourself a favor - spend a lil more then you thought you would, buy a HD receiver and some good speakers. not only do movies sound unbelievable, but games as well - just a better experience.
