getting a new tv for my b-day suggestions?

i live in canada and the only good stores around here are futureshop and bestbuy

i have looked at a few lcd hdtv's 720p 32-37" for about $700

if someonbe coul point me in a direction for about the same specs even better for a lower or the same price.

i dont plan to play ps3 in 1080p anytime soon i probably wouldnt be able to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p

i usually play on my fathers 47" projection hdtv 720p

i just wanted something smaller and better for a cheaper price :P

edit: right now im using a sdtv 32" 480i (Zenith) pretty old that tints red so whenever i play games on it there is just different shades of red

just look for something with good contrast Ratio like my TV is 25000:1 probably wont find that high for the price your looking but you get the picture, and quick response 8ms maybe. I would look at samsungs personally thats what i have and they are awesome

also i see some tv's say there display is 480i/480p/720p while others say only 720p does this mean i cant watch tv in standard def? which would mean i would have to buy an hd box?

if you were to spend $1000 then you can get a 37" or 40" i1080p, or a better looking 720p of the same size
