Im gettin a PS3 for my birthday and i was wonderin is there any hardware issues i need to know about or do i not have to worry about the system crashin like every xbox 360 does?

nope. it has pretty much no issues. there is the yellow light of death which happens to 0.2% of all ps3's.2/1000 isn't bad :P

Just make sure you put it in a good amount of space, 4 inches on each side should be the minimum.

stand it vertical, it cools better like that, dont play in a hot room, put on ur a/c or do what i do , i put a housefan on towards the front vents, not the back vents the front, cus if it ever fails it will be cus of overheating
