Getting it online

I might soon be getting a PS3 for my birthday and one of the first things I want to do is get it online. Now you see I already own a Nintendo USB WiFi addaptor and I was wondering could I use that bit of kit to get the PS3 onto the net as I don't want to go and buy another addaptor as they cost many pounds.

Please only reply to this message if you know for sure (ie you have tried to do this and it worked/didn't work)

PS3 already have wifi built into it. U dont need an adapter. All you need is a router if u plan on going wirless...navigata

that makes no sense if you dont have a wireless router you cant connect anything

adapters connect to routers which you dont have

I have the adapter that is licensed by EDUP, it works with all my electronics; even my laptops. What you're suggesting is that you want to use that NINTENDO licensed adapter to connect to the net on a SONY machine? It's not possible. You're first mistake was getting that nintendo piece, you could have gotten the EDUP adapter and had everything work flawlessly.

all you need is an Ethernet cable

since you dont have a wireless router just buy a $20 Ethernet from your friendly neighborhood Wal*Mart
