Getting mad with my PS3/Downloadable Demos

Ok, I have had my PS3 for about 2 to 3 months now. The first demo I downloaded was the Timeshift demo. I downloaded it in the background then tried to install it and it didn't work. I got an error when trying. Then last night I decided to give it a go again with another game (Burnout Paradise)and decided to not download it in the background since I read here in the forums that someone said that downloading in the background could sometimes cause some problems. Well same thing happened again. After downloading it tried to install and again same error. I would really like to play some demos but this not being able to install them is really getting on my nerves.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No its not full. Its a 60GB and I have only played a couple of games on it. No other downloads or anything so its not full.

I will have to try again tonight and write down the error code. Dont know why I didn't do it last night.

my burnout Demo worked A-OK.

This is the only solution I've found on the net for that error code:

Sounds like latency error. Usually the server you downloaded the file from was too busy and only gave you half the file. The file you are trying to download to the PS3 is corrupt. Go back and redownload the file from whichever server you got it from and try it again.

You can also go use the "Restore PS3 System" under System Settings and do a quick format if it still doesnt work.

Since you've already downloaded file several times, then try doing a quick or full format. This error seems to always mean the same thing, which is the file is corrupted.

I experianced the same problem. But as mentioned, the file corruption is the problem. I suggest that:

1- u have fair internet connection.

2- make sure not to turn off the ps3 console before pausing the downloads

3- try to stop other downloads e.g from pc or anything else.
