Why don't you just ordering the hdmi separately online? It is also cheaper than $50.

I got my hdmi cable from my local Frys. Paid around $16-17 with tax. I could have gotten it for cheaper online for around $12 shipped but I could not wait.

That's the exact cable I ordered. And yes, it does work flawlessly.

The HDMI cables are not that expensive if you shop around a little, I have seen them in Wal-Mart for around $30.00 to $40.00 depending on the lenth. As for feeling ripped I really don't see where you would because there are more than a couple of cables that can be used. The composite that cones with the PS3 then there is the component cables that is the next step up from composite cables. Then there is the HDMI to DVI cables that was used on the early HDTV's before the HDMI was released. And now we have HDMI.

The PS3 comes with everything your gonna need to get online wirelessly and play your HD media rite out of the box unlike other systems that needs extra over priced add-ons.

ripped off?? that has to be a joke. You get free online, wifi, game demos, blu-ray player, rechargable controller, and you're saying you get ripped off???:lol:

with the"other" system, you have to pay 50$ for online,100dollars for wifi, over 120dollars for HD attachment, and 20 dollars for recahrgables batteries.......please open your eyes friend. the ps3 is one heck of a deal!!

I bought myself a nice $5 HDMI cable from HDMIand I've had no problems

I purchased my PS3 with an 46 LCD 1080. I purchased a couple of HDMI cables a cheap one and a more expensive one. I noticed a huge difference in the picture with the better quality cable.

When you look at how much the cheapest blue ray player is and a DVD up converteris, it is a a much better deal than any system. If you have the cash or credit.

That's BS... a cable is a cable... My father bought a Monster cable for 80$ because he beleived this same crap. I compare my $4 HDMI cable from monoprice to his 80$ Monster Cable from Best Buy and they look exactly the same. For you to say HUGE difference is ridiculous

Not everybody owns a HDTV, so Sony didn't inclued HDMI because it would be crazy to give HDMI to someone who doesn't own a HDTV.
