Getting my PS3 tomorrow

Hey guys and gals. well as the title says i am FINALLY getting a ps3 tomorrow and i wanted to know what games you guys think i should get. I'm getting 2.

Here are the choices

Metal Gear 4

Soul Calibur 4

Dead Space

Resistance 2 or 1(have only played 1 on multiplayer with a friend.)

Also. I'm getting the 80g...is there any PS2 backwards compatibility at all? Sorry to sound so noobish just not sure and the guy at gamestop is a tool.

It's kinda hard to say....I wouldn't compare it to games like RFOM2 and COD4. Some love MGS4's mulitplayer but most don't.

They are all good tittles but since you can only get 2....I would say get MGS4(AWSOME CAMPAIGN) RFOM2(AWSOME CAMPAIGN AND MULTIPLAYER)

If you've played the first on Co-op then you know the story .. get the second ..

No....people kill me when they say you have to play a games previous insallments in order to understand the story....THAT'S RUBBISH!!! (AS THE BRITS WOULD SAY) lol

Resistance story is pretty basic .. you don't need to play the third to love the second .. the first is explained within the first ten minutes of two anyways ..

any idea how to tell which one i'm getting o.O? Cause i'm not buying a used one...ahve never had good encounters with refurbs.

If you'd like to be scared sh*tless get Dead Space. Best horror game I've seen, since one of my luckier (or unluckier, depends on how you look at it) friends played it, and I watched. Just watching was quite freaky.

MGS4, like I said, and like many others have said, is a technical masterpiece; the graphics, animation, physics, gameplay techniques and music are all top tier.

LittleBigPlanet is more of a multiplayer game, but nonetheless, it is one of the most innovative platformers of all time, since it runs on a physics engine based upon real life. The online mode is apparently really fun, according to one of my friends, but I have never seen it, nor played it. I have seen offline, and local multiplayer and that was great, though.

Well, that's about all I can suggest, since I lack quite an essential peripheral; a PS3. -.-

mgs4-Great singleplayer

Resistance 2-8player co-op and 60player online is really fun

LBP-really fun messing around and playing with friends

i definitely recommend MGS4, and thats with out me ever even touching the online.

LBP is a must have if you play alot with your friends

other than that i would recommend uncharted or resistance 2.

MGS4 is a must.

as a second game, i'd recommend LittleBigPlanet if you get a second controller and your wife is willing to play with you, then it means endless fun. Resistance 2 what the simple-minded masses are getting, i personally hate the game.

Dead space & Soul calibur get boring after a while... whilst MGO its total and pure pwn

Now if you want to know if your PS3 plays PS2 games, well.. if you're getting the 80gb PS3 that costs $499 USD, it means it plays PS2 games, it should say outside the box package. But if you're getting the $399 UDS PS3, it will only play PS1 games.

Well i'm sold on MGS4.

Thinking about little big planet over R2 though. That way i avoid wife rage from playing so much.

And no i do not own a ps3 anymore i sold it wjen i got hard into pc gaming. JUST now moving back into consoles
