Everything you suggested will be fine and work great for the PS3...
But let me talk to you about something...credit cards are evil, and you are basically going to spend $1500-$1800 in one sitting on a card issued by a store...you sure you know what you're doing?

You should have applied for the credit card at Target while making the purchase, you would have saved 10%. Or are they sending you the voucher in the mail?
Also, yes, credit cards are evil.
I would personally suggest saving up the cash, and having a friend or a friend of a friend who works at Target buy the unit since they get a 10% employee discount, and then hand them the cash when you're outside.
Also, go to monoprice.com and buy some HDMI cables for 5 dollars. The only ones at Target range between 30-80. Complete waste of money.
Ya I don't have it,but the good thing is you can make monthly payments and pay it off which I will in 3 months or so.Juanredman1972
It's going to be "or so"...welcome to debt.
So are you buying all this with a credit card but you don't have that amount of cash on your bank account? That would be extremely stupid... if you don't have the money, don't buy it! Or am I mistaken?TheFlush
Well, that's kind of the point of a credit card, otherwise everyone would just have bank cards. The problem with the Target CC is that I think the interest rate is something silly like 24%.
If you're going to put 1800-2000 dollars on a CC I'd apply for a different card, something with no interest for a year, or a very low interest rate, and then figure out a payment plan to have it paid off before that interest starts ticking. I think you'd still be able to use your voucher with it.
Just my thoughts.

I use my visa to buy stuff online, but I never buy something if I don't have the money on my bank account. Usually the interest rate is high when you use a credit card and pay monthly. And if something bad happens and you need to spend money on something else, your credit card debt can't be paid. So the amount of money generated by the interest rate will rise even more. There are so many people these days with high debts, because they want stuff but cannot actually afford them. It's such a simple rule, if you can't pay it, don't buy it.[QUOTE="Amaranthix"][QUOTE="TheFlush"]So are you buying all this with a credit card but you don't have that amount of cash on your bank account? I agree that there are a lot of people with high debts who buy things they can't afford and have no idea how interest rates work. I also think that there are a lot of responsible people out there who know how to use a credit card without getting themselves into trouble. I suggested to the OP that if he IS going to put this on a credit card, to know what he's doing, and to either get a VERY low interest rate, or to get a card with no interest for a year or however long that he can make a reasonable payment plan for it where he won't end up spending more if anything in the end.
As far as something bad happening and needing money, in the real world, that amount of money generally ends up on a, you guessed it, credit card. If you expect every bad thing in your life to be easily paid for out of your checking account or to be able to follow your "simple rule" while trying to maintain a family you're going to be in for a surprise. Credit cards are a great tool if you respect them, a lot of people just don't.
