Getting reported for "flaming" against xbox trolls? This doesnt make s

Yesterday, I got reported for flaming against a troll on the PS3 forum.  I am a bit ticked off at this site because all you hear are negative topics on this forum and when I stick up for the PS3....I am the one who gets reported.  To sum it up....I ran into one of the typical, "wha..wha....wha...Who is disgusted with the PS3 launch and game delays".  I simply posted that I am sick and tired of all the negativity towards the PS3 on this forum and I am the one who gets punished for "flaming".  I dont understand this site. 

It would be nice to be able to come to these forums and talk about the positives of the system and not give others a reason to bash our system.  What ticks me off is when all these people complain about the delays and how disapointed they are in the system when they all knew that their was going to be some growing pains associated with the launch.  People get too emotional on this site and tend to rehash the same junk on and on....

I purchaced the system knowing that my investment was for the future of gaming and not for the instant gratification that many seem to have.  Stop blaming SONY for the games.  Blame the developers....

I am anxiously awaiting the March releases and if some of those games get pushed back then I will simply wait some more.  I wanted 4 games during March which would have dropped me back almost $250.  Now, I will be able to space out my money and chip away at the games...therefore enjoying them individually and not just blazing through 4 games at a time.

Who here would like to talk about some positives in this forum?

sometimes the bans and point reduces are strange here. i remeber that a guy posted a picture of a penis once. Obvious spam. i reacted with the words: "this aren't in-gameplay graphics". obvious joke. got suspended for TWO weeks.danneswegman

Listen up guys.

You are moderated AFTER getting reported. This means that the moderators don't moderate you, if you are not reported (There are simply too much threads to go through to do that).

This has nothing to do with bias against any system. If you broke the rules you will get punished for it if you got reported.

Flaming trolls is a stupid thing to do, since flaming is against the rules, and the "troll" will report you in retaliation.

Just report the troll and leave him be. He will get suspended instead of you.

The old "But he started it" excuse wont work with moderators. Because someone else broke the rules, does not give you the right to do it too.

Lol, gamespot is ridiculous. I've been banned like...13 times or something ridiculous like that. And usually it was for sticking up for the PS3. It's clear that their is an extreme bias against PS3 here at Gamespot. But same goes for freakin' 1up.com too. But at least there, they don't ban me.

Although the last ban I got...i deserved. I freakin' duckrolled EVERYONE!! XD

Its pretty simple - dont feed the trolls.  Instead report them, ignore them and move on.  Trolls want you to respond but if you flame them then you are still flaming which is again the ToU.

This thread is off topic.  Ask The Moderators is the forum you want.
