so i have the rock band 2 band bundle, and i only have 1 guitar. it sucks cuz wen my friends come over they either wanna drum or play guitar, and i wanna drum or play guitar and i'm usually the one singing and it sucks. so i wanna get another guitar so my friends and i can both play guitar, bass, and drums. so i saw that the gh3 les paul was $40, and the ghwt guitar bundle was $80. which one do u think is more worth it?
LES PAUL, LES PAUL, LES PAUL!!! The GH3 guitar is the best guitar for every music game out there... GHWT has the worst soundtrack out of almost any music game and is not worth the case it comes in...
The songs in World Tour are better. I mean they have 3 Tool songs. What else do you want? However the Les Paul is way cooler.Seritonin
The 3 tool songs are some of the only good songs in the entire game ( i mean the only other half decent songs are Assassin by Muse(why they would pick this out of all the much more amazing Muse songs which would've made at least some interesting notecharts), Trapped Under Ice by Metallica, and Crazy Train by Ozzy..)
Ok well, also the good songs on World Tour include The Marz Volta, At the drive-in, The Doors, The Eagles, Sublime, Hendrix, SoaD. To name a few.Seritonin
They cut down the Marz Volta song alot from the original, The Doors and The Eagles aren't really a good fit for a GH game, SoaD and Hendrix were good, although the audio balance in GH WT just sucks, i mean you listen to GH3 and its powerful.. almost all the songs in GHWT sound bad (especially when i compare them to playing the actual songs on the same sound system)
I love the WT guitar. I own both the GH3 and WT guitars and have played with the RB and RB2 guitars, and I can say that by FAR I prefer the WT guitar over all of them, and it isn't even close. It's solid, a bit heavier, with great feel on the buttons and a great layout. The Les Paul is ok, but I just dont like the hollow lighter feeling of it. The RB controllers just seem small, and I'm not a fan of the flush square bottons on the neck.
Plus the WT set list isn't that bad. I've enjoyed playing it quite a bit.
Rumors are that some Targets will have GH Aerosmith and GH III for $24.99 on clearance. Might be worth checking out your local Target. The best I've found is $49.99. Circuit City has the Guitar with game (III or Aerosmith) for $47.99.
yeah i know it's a good deal and all but i already beat guitar hero 3 my friend let me borrow it but it was for wii not ps3 so i only have 1 guitar but i beat gh3 on another platform so i don't want it. and i don't really care for aerosmith, it just doesn't appeal to me. so it's either gh3 les paul for $20 or ghwt guitar bundle for $75.
Considering the GHWT game alone costs at least $49 (if you can find a sale), you are only paying $30 for the better guitar. I'd go for the GHWT bundle for $75.
I ran into the same problem a few days ago. I just picked up the bundle since there weren't any les pauls at wallmart and the rock band guitars were 60 bucks on their own. To be honest, I'm not all that pleased with GHWT, and neither were the friends that I tried it with, but the guitar works just fine, and 80 tracks for an extra 20 bucks is awesome deal in my book.
