So which game do you think looks more promising, we pretty much already know what to expect and what we will getout of GHIII, but the whole drum/vocal thing in rock band looks pretty cool. Im personally leaning towards rock band.

I'd go with GH3. I'm not really a fan of music games (besides DDR; the perfect party game). However, Guitar Hero 3 looks like it's less of a rip-off than Rock Band because you only need one or two controllers to fully enjoy Guitar Hero 3. You need four to get the full experience out of Rock Band, which costs $200.
You do realize that you can play Rock Band as just a guitarist as you would GH3 as well, right?The_Rick_14
Yeah, I know, but didn't they design it so that it's really the best when you have all four controllers?
No they've said the single player experience will match that of the group experience. The_Rick_14
Oh really? Okay. I'm still going with Guitar Hero 3, though, because I like that type of music better. Rock Band's will probably a bit more mellow compared to Guitar Hero's.

That's another good point. You can still get the 4 player experience even if you only buy and want to play one instrument by joining a band online.
