Is anyone else rather confused by the myriad of mixed signals we're getting on what looked to be a great upcoming game: Ghostbusters? Does anyone know anything definitively on a release date or status? I've read and looked at a variety of sources, with no single answer really being solid.

Next year is the 25th anny of the ghostbusters first movie , it is going to come out around that time , It is a big letdown I know I and a lot of people were looking forward to this game , I think it will be great when it does come out in 09.
From what they told us at the Gamecrazy convention, the company that was producing Ghostbusters was bought out by....oh crap....I've already forgotten. Look for it in Q2 of 2009, We received promotional licence plates that have Ecto-1 on them. Pretty cool....
its going to come out next year march 2009 march is the 25th anniversary of ghostbusters. But its not only that reason activision decided to drop ghostbusters right before the launch date, and sierra picked it up. No reason to why acitivision dropped it but that set it back and they decided to make it a anniversary release
But it WAS supposed to come out in time for Halloween. And I was really looking forward to this game. :cry:
But Sony, the owner of the Franchise, said that they wanted the game to hit shelves along the 25th anniversary edition of the movies next year. Also, the game already has a publisher (Atari).
