yes there is web browsing but you need a wireless internet "feed". A modem would work (the wep key should be on the bottom of modem which is used to go online with your psp.) There's also local wifi's at places like starbucks if you don't have a working modem.

Online play is easy, easier than DS I think. You just switch the Wlan tab on and go on online play in your game...as long as your around a wifi hotspot you'll be able to kick ass around the world.

Well, they have done a lot to add more applications to the PSP and also make it more user friendly when putting in music and movies. And the PSP is much easier to take online than the DS. As long as you have a wi-fi point with the password, you're find. And the fact that the PSP can connect to other online passkeys other than WEP and none make it instant win for me.

That's really your decision to choose, If you never play DS anymore and won't regret selling it, I say go ahead. If possible I think it would be better if you bought a PSP and games, but not sell your DS.

The PSP is cool, but it's not the same kind of system as a Nintendo DS. The DS is pretty much strictly gaming, but the PSP is more diverse letting you listen to music, look at pictures, browse the internet, listen to internet radio, watch movies, etc etc etc. I say keep your DS and save up for a PSP but you gotta do what you gotta do. I myself have played a friends DS a few times and wouldn't mind getting one myself, but there's no way I would trade in my Darth Vader PSP! I need new games though. All I have now is Manhunt 2, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.

Well as the poster above ^ mentioned the DS is more of a gaming machine and the PSP is more of a multimedia machine. Altho... if you did something to your DS then it would have pretty much all the capabilities of the PSP.

Online browser is... decent. Well to be honest its more of a letdown than anything. I barely use it because it'd make so much more sense just to use my comp... A big complaint by many users is that you can't watch vids on YouTube because of an outdated Flash Player, but some people (like me) believe that Sony may update it in FW 4.00.

Online play is good as long as you have a good connection. But other than that it pretty much depends on the actual game.

My personal experience from playing both... DS is pretty fun if you have lots of friends who have them. My friends at skool play a lot of Mario Kart since you only need one game cartridge for multiplayer. Some PSP games do this like Tekken, Naruto and MGS (I believe) and we call it "Game Sharing". Other than that I think the PSP is better tho because it replaced my mp3 player and all its capabilities except recording but oh well.

Hope you get a PSP :P
