OK, this may be hard for some of you to believe, but I just purchased the 80GB PS3 pack and it is my first PS system ever and also my first post ever on Gamespot (new Total Access member as of today). I've of course played PS1 and PS2 but never actually owned the systems. I have mostly been an Xbox360 person, and also have a Wii. To be quite honest, I wasn't expecting much as all I've heard since the PS3 launched is how inferior it is to the 360. All I've got to say is, I'm blown away by the PS3! I only have MotorStorm and Warhawk (freaking awesome!) at the moment, but can't wait to see what the PS3 has to offer in the near future. I also look forward to being a member of the Gamespot community. Game on!
Congratiulations on your purchase and be ready to be blown away by some great upcoming exclusives. I do envy you a little though for being able to play MassEffecht on your 360, which I unfortunately don't own. Also: welcome to the forums.

well im a civil engineer and they laugh at me sometimes the way i write. lol hated english classes got a d most of the time. lol it shows now than ever sence i have been out of school for 12 years.
Welcome to the forums, congrats on your recent purchase. Warhawk is an amazing game. If you want a good shooter go for Resistance and for a sword fighting game go for Heavenly Sword. Just some friendly advice :)
Warkhawk and Motorstorm are some great games for PSN. you picked a pretty good time to buy a PS3. Most of the good games for PS3 are coming soon. HAZE R&C Uncharted. with lots more coming early 08. MGS4 UT III SOCOM. it's nice to own all 3 huh?
Pretty much everyone that owns a PS3 has the same opinion you do about it. This is further indication that the ones hating the PS3 probably never even tried it yet.
I used to bash the PS3 pretty bad (bows head in shame). But having owned one for a while I must say its the best console I've ever owned. Although My 360 died on me (dont hate the console) I just dont feel a reason to get another 360 anymore.
I think one of my favorite features so far is the web browser. I love how easy it is to sit on your couch and navigate web pages. Quick question: How do I know which of the PS1 and PS2 games will work on my 80GB version via emulation? I was thinking about getting some of the awesome PS2 titles but don't want to buy something, open it, find out it doesn't work, and then be stuck with it.
