God Of War 1 and 2 on a Blu Ray seems awesome and would be cool if Sony never decides to patch in BC for all PS3s. Thoughts?
VERY SMART for selling the game for those who have not played the games. My friend is seriously interested in the series but cannot play it due to not owning a ps3. Probably will be good for alot of the xbox/gamecube owners who have a PS3 now

My PS3 that I get doesn't have BC, so unless they make these version that are on the Blu-Ray play without BC, count me out. But if they do, count me in for sure.
I think that would be a great feature for the CE. I would love to replay both games, although I could at any time I wanted since I own both of them lol

lol it just means they will write code to make both of the games BC, just like 360 does for their games, having to emulate each game separately.
I guess that would be cool but i have the originals for ps2 and my ps3 has BC so its not a huge deal. plus that could make the price go ridiculously high

I hope they include it. I have GoW1 and 2 on PS2 but my PS3 is non-b/c and I would just love to have all 3 on 1 blu-ray. Very smart move, they'll be stupid not to include this in the CE.

"exclusive" DLC is the worst. In Naruto UNS the exclusive DLC was free for everyone in Europe, for LBP the exclusive DLC was released latter anyway. Everyone should have access to all content of a game. "exclusive" DLC is just stupid.

I would pay up to $100 for the entire GOW trilogy if it meant I could play it all on my PS3. Maybe we'll get lucky and GOW I and II will be up-converted to HD quality...or at least get a widescreen release.
i would get it because i never played the first 2. i been thinking about picking them up for the ps2 but i would rather have em all in one like you suggested. i was more of a pc gamer in those days. i remember always wanting to buy it but for some reason i picked up re4 instead.

Sort of selfish of you considering the millions that want to, but can't, play the first 2 games. I put a 1 on exclusive DLC. That sounds stupid. A soundtrack and a shirt would be cool.

Well yes, I think playing a 360 or a PS3 is the very definition of being spoiled if one is relating it to the PS2. So yes I am spoiled, I think all gamers are spoiled with good graphics, nothing wrong with it, its kind of dumb to even make such an obvious point.

I know what you mean. It is kinda why no BC in the PS3 I am getting doesn't bother me. I will just hook my PS2 up to my old SDTV so the games look the way they were meant to look.

He means the games look bad because they are being played on a HDTV. When he says they look bad, he means they don't look like they should. He needs to play them on a SDTV in order to get them to look like they should. He isn't talking look bad as in old game. For some reason a HDTV makes PS2+1 games look awful. They are super jaggy and everything.

Exactly, i never had a problem with any of the GOWs when I had a PS2, native PS2 games rendered in High Def look terrible(although i've only tested PS3 BC with GOW 2, returned it the same day), they look far worse than it would on a normal tv, which is too bad, because I never got to beat God of War 2, but its too jarring and distracting playing it on the PS3. I've been holding out hope sony would rerelease the two in HD on the PSN, they could make some good dough if they did this imo, and reinforce the GOW brand. If they do release the two on BluRay is there any realistic chance of an HD upgrade? I mean they have done this with Wipeout and Tekken, so I don't think it should be too difficult technically speaking. Man GOW 2 in HD would be outrageous.
