I've played the Dante's Inferno demo and I'm quite surprised. Really amazing. Indeed, they are a bit look-a-like in some aspects. I still prefer GOW III.
Lol if you have a look at the screens of both games, during gameplay, they both have magic bars, life bars at the top left. In the bottom left theres like a super power mode thing in them(not in GOWIII demo but in GOWII and I there is). And they both use real time prompt stuff XD.
But, I haven't really played much since I've beaten the first GOW. Playing the Dante's Inferno demo, actually took part in deciding to buy a copy of GOW2 (didn't want the collection)
Before, I didn't care much. But now GOW3 is in the "maybe" category. So, it kind of played the opposite effect. The "copy" brought GOW "back to life" for me. I'm playing GOW2 for a second time (the carry over is great)
I might consider DI if it isn't entirely a direct clone and has great gameplay and replay value. I'd have to play the demo over again.
Well GoW of course....Visceral games has already said that alot of what is in Dante's Inferno is taken from the GoW series. So idk about you but i would rather have the Actual game than a look-a-like. Not to say that Dante's Inferno is going to bad but as a PS3/360 owner i don't really see the point in owning both. I played the DI demo and even the music sounded darn near close to the GoW soundtrack/s. DI seems to me just an attempt by EA to get the GoW market for 360 only owners.

God of War 3 is exactly like the first two just with prettier graphics. It was intentionally done this way to keep the feel of the series. So if you didnt care much for the first two its not going to have anything new to really entice you in. I went from playing the collection(had already beaten the first two twice on PS2) to going right into playing the demo and it felt no different gameplay wise.
Although I love the setting and premise behind Dante's Inferno I would get 3 over it just because I want to see how the story ends.

Just what i thought. Even look at the bars and stuff in the game. Magic bar, life bar, top left like GOW, and power mode in bottom left, like GOW(the power mode isnt in the GOWIII demo but its in the earlier games).
Or just a game that takes ideas off of a series of different action games? I want DI more than GoW, I have played the GoW3 and DI demo, and I enjoyed DI more
