It barely went past a single BRD. I certainly hope it's not that big because the developers had to copy assets within the game just to accommodate slow drive speeds. Then again, this is a first party title and probably doesn't require such tricks.
Wow. That's awesome. They've really put a lot into this game. i can't wait to check it out. Prepare for all those "its just uncompressed audio" claims in System Wars. TheEldestGodThats what im guessing uncompressed audio unless the textures are 1080p which i doubt that can be done with 512mb of ram.
Top 3:
Final Fantasy XIII: 37GB
God of War 3: 35GB
Metal Gear Solid 4: 32GB
Correct me if I'm wrong.
NotAFurry
abit wrong. Euro version of GoW3 is in the low 40GBs. 9 languages in that baby: dubbed, subbed, and uncompressed.
[QUOTE="azzezino"]Great, now let's hope it doesn't eat 5GB of HDD space.hotfireeWhy do you think most people have such big HDD's ? that still isnt a reason to make us sit through a 5 gig install....

It just bugs me when people complain about it like its the end of the world. I hope there's more than just sitting there staring at install progress to do in your home. Go make a sandwich or write a blog on how much you hate waiting or something. Anyway, I don't think there'll be a large install if there's any at all. Sony's first party stuff has been pretty good about ditching the installs lately. In fact most developers have since time has passed. Don't worry, you won't have to live through another Devil May Cry 4. :P

Yeah, me neither. That one's new to me. Anyway, Yarou1000, I ment no offense. I will agree it sucks to have to wait when you are so pumped up like that. I wasn't trying to pick on ya or nothing. Just talking. Well, let's just cross our fingers for no install. Oh, and cross your fingers so your copy of Uncharted 2 doesn't make you wait for half an hour to play like Eazy's does. :PWow. That's awesome. They've really put a lot into this game. i can't wait to check it out. Prepare for all those "its just uncompressed audio" claims in System Wars. TheEldestGodLol, you speak the truth.

I don't mind the installs too much besides DMC4. I had some whiskey & cigs while waiting for the damn thing to finish installing so I had a pretty good buzz by the time the game started. Can't complain. :P
I wonder what is in the 35gigs for GOW3? I wonder if there will a lot of CGI scenes. Good stuff though!
Thats pretty cool. I bet there must be a ton of content if it takes up that much of a disc. Although GOW isn't really a plot masterpiece, I wonder what in the world they made to take up that much room! It also kinda makes me wonder how large the install will be.....Ninja_Zombie83There's an install? Haven't heard about it.

Nope. No CGI movies. Everything in this game is rendered in the game engine itself.[QUOTE="TheEldestGod"]Wow. That's awesome. They've really put a lot into this game. i can't wait to check it out. Prepare for all those "its just uncompressed audio" claims in System Wars. FightingfanThats what im guessing uncompressed audio unless the textures are 1080p which i doubt that can be done with 512mb of ram. Do you know what ram is?? The space is to let uncompressed audio and more crisp cutscenes out. Ram has to do with how the game runs. 35 gigs of ram would cost 1000+ dollars.
Wow, better believe the install will take ages. I hope the size of the game means it'll actually be good. Because the graphics don't look so next gen to me. gamer082009Wow. You've got to be kidding. Gow3 doesn't look next gen? So you saying its comparible to GoW2? If so... that would beeeeeeee crazy! :P
