sorry to burst your bubbles but there is no way in hell god of war will be magically rendered in full 1080p at 60 fps. It would be nice to see one game that actually does 1080p on the ps3 - not cheap misguiding upscaling. Even games like Wipeout that are supposed to be 1080p for the point of being are tricked up upscaled flicks.
can't wait for the game however, certainly one of my most awaited games of 2009.
to correct myself, I think there are perhaps a few psn games with limited graphical features (aka retro/arcade) games that are 1080p. But no full release as I am aware of... not GT Prologue, not MGS4...

u couldnt be more wrong about these games, wipeout isnt upscaled it does run at 1080p, so does mgs4, and im hoping gow 3 does too, but ill wait for more info from sony

MGS4 isn't native 1080p, its 720p that gets upscaled. Also, Wipeout HD IS native 1080p but the resolution drops rarely to upscaled when things get a little too hectic on screen, i.e. lots of explosions. For the most part however, it is native 1080p, so he was partially correct.

well at least i was partially right too lol. but mgs4 does look abit better in 1080p on my 42in sony bravia then 720p anyways but i know this for sure, that gow3 will get almost or hopefully every bit of juice out of the ps3 and im hopin it will run at 1080p i dont believe any links or rumors until sony themselves come out and say check it out its 1080p native

It's been tested at various hardware sites and only the vids in MGS4 are in true 1080p, and the cameras used are so-so.

Faster would start to make it seem like Dynasty warriors and the story and ambiance of the game is enough alone to make the game worth playing. And the puzzles are fun =3 xD

Hmmm...I love the active time events and think more games should have them. The gameplay is a bit slow and the nudity thing really isn't necessary, I don't know how it started, but it got part of the game. Just wouldn't feel the same without it...very strange, indeed. Gives the kids something to talk about, i guess.

winnor of thread mm.. no, we have no proof other than the devs 'saying it is'... gran turismo, wipeout and others fall in that category. it would need to be professionally tested. also, it's not impossible one bit that some games run at 1080p on the ps3, it's just very common for speculation to rise to the level where I would say a majority of ps3 owners would argue that many of their titles run at 1920x1080 because their tv says 1080p. I'd put my money on god of war running at 720p, it would be a shame if it didn't for the amount of detail that would have to be stripped out. we're talking about a slightly modified 7800GTX from 3 generations of video cards back here.

i believe it is ... they have done amazing things with the ps2 i have ever seen that still makes me stand in awe .. if anyone can do it .. it is going to be them

I'm not all that stoked on God Of War III. Never got into the series... Neat concept, just felt it was too repetitive. Much like I thought Heavenly Sword was.. THat's just my opinion though, still hope it's in 1080P though, it can help pave the road to every game being 1080P natively.

DMC in story. i agree with the ninja gaiden comment, atleast as far as the combat goes. its much more deep than GOW's combat, but i kinda like doing the puzzles to take a break from combat every now and then. ive never really been a fan of the DMC series.
