FOR ME :i say that gd of war is soooo frickin awesome and it is better than devil may cry

altough dmc is awesome to but not as good as GOW

Most people think I'm crazy for saying this, but I absolutely could not stand Tidus. :P Which really hindered my enjoyment of FFX. raven_squad

Tidus was ok.

I hated him too, but he was the type of character you want to hate and enjoy hating.

Although it was kind of painful to see him hook up with my favorite FF chick.

I personally dislike Kratos a lot, but I also am not very fond of Dante, especially after he went Bruce Lee on me.

Definitely Devil May Cry. I love everything about the games and think they are all better then the GoW games. Not to say I dont like the GoW game, I just love the DMC games way more :D

to tell the truth i only beat god of war and never finished god of war 2.. and i only played devil may cry 4..
due to nero, dmc loses by default..

I prefer the overall style of Devil May Cry much more than god of war, I really don't like greek mythology.

I personally think Devil May Cry is more exciting.

God of War 1 and 2 have the better story as they link together and create an overall brutal mood

Devil May Cry 1, 2, and 4 have better gameplay than God Of War 1 and 2. They have way sweeter aerial combos, the quick weapon switching + style switching in DMC brings the hack and slash genre to a whole nother level. The leaderboards in DMC4 are something to aim for when playing the game, and are actually quite impossible to get on.

I'd prefer a GoW 3 over a DMC5, but DMC is the better game/series. We've got bayonetta coming out soon so I don't really see a need for DMC for quite awhile. That on top of dante's inferno, darksiders: wrath of war, ninja gaiden sigma, and I'm wondering if lords of shadow will be another hack and slash.

I assume you are talking about devil may cry 1.

Gameplay - i think even though they may look similar, they are infact very different and i love the depth that devil may cry offers, god of war has a really great feel to the gameplay which is what makes it unique, but becuase it doesn't have that depth. This is just a preference, god of war is very good but for longevity through gameplay dmc wins.

Story - God of war hands down.

That's a tough decision as I thoroughly enjoyed both God of War, and Devil May Cry. Devil May Cry is more stylish than God of War, but God of War feels more epic than Devil May Cry. I can't recommend one over the other as they're both equally excellent, but I would suggest that for STARTERS you might want to try God of War if for nothing more than the epic scale of Greek Mytho.
