Granted I've never played the Godfather, but I voted for Oblivion b/c that is a game I know for sure you can put 150 hours into without completing even 20% of the main story quest.

I have both on the 360, I would have to say get oblivion. Don't get me wrong, the godfather is good, it just doesn't reach the scope of oblivion. I've played oblivion for at least 100 hours.

All comes down to what you like. Don't ask us, we don't know you. lol

If you're up in arms about something and videos and so on still don't do it for you, rent them both, then decide. But if you want game A a little more than game B, then go with A, get B another time you have money to buy another game. Easy as that.

Both games are free-roaming, Oblivion has much more dept in a game then Godfather.  I would definately consider Oblivion over that other crap...

For someone who has played both I'm going to tell you Oblivion is the better choice. First of all the graphics on the Godfather are no good, it just looks a little better PS2 games. If you played GTA you're gonna feel ripped off, they're very similar. Oblivion on the other hand, has amazing graphics, long hours of gameplay (It took me 128 hours to complete the game) and the PS3 version comes with extra quests that were downloadable for 360 which add like 10 more hours. If you like freedom, you'll get your freedom, so much you'll feel lost for the first couple of hours. Your character has a lot of customizations available: appareance, race, class, skills, etc. Weapons are very varied also, you can add magic, etc. In conclusion it's an awesome game and you'll have a lot of fun with it if you like action rpgs.

Trading in 3 games for 1 is the biggest rip off. If anyone traded 3 games for 1 then they are an idiot

Right now, I'm not playing Atelier Iris, Atelier Iris 2, or Magna Carta. Nor will I ever plan any of them again - Let alone the fact that I never finished any of them. So how would trading three games I don't like for one I'd like a lot - At least presumably, based on how much I enjoyed Morrowind - make me an idiot? Hrm?

Oblivions the greatest game ever made...for me any way. Id go with that, I know I am. The godfather was really just a lame GTA rip-off (its kind of sad it should be the other way around lol) and the 360 and PC versions had visuals hardly better than last gen consoles. The 360 was a bit better but not much.

The Dons edition has a few extras but certainly not enough to pay full price for a game thats been rehashed and ported to systems more times than any game Ive seen. Oblivion has a huge environment, great visuals, and TONS of quests. Dont pass up on it:)

Get Oblivion for the PS3, and then go to walmart and pick the PS2 version of The godfather for $10.00 in there bargain bin....thats about all its worth.

Oblivion, the main quest is decent, but some of the side quest will be burned into my memory untill the rest of time. It is truely a masterpiece.

By laggy you mean shoddy framerates? Yes the 360 version had framerate issues but a few patches helped......a bit. The PC version was worse or better depending on your set-up. So it wasnt just the xbox it was the xboxs version of the game. The PS3 reportedly will have much smoother framerates.

What if they traded in 3 crappy games that got a score of below a 5? I'd call that a bargain.

Scores don't mean crap to me.  It's whether or not I feel I like a game or not.  But I would trade in 3 crappy games that I got for gifts/bargain bin/irresponsible purchases for a new one.

In my opinion, Oblivion is the vastly superior game, only, it isn't for everyone.

I'd check out all the footage available on the web for each game before you decide your purchase.

Actualy the main story quest is only around 10 hours, but the side quests and daidric quests are around 200+hours if you want to complete them all

I really don't like either of these games at all but if I were you, I'd probably choose Oblivion.  There has to be a reason to all the great ratings and Godfather looks like a crappy game (EA made it).

I was talking about how you can play the game for 150 hours without doing much of the main quest.  I have played the game on the 360 and I did barely any of the main quest yet I had 125+ hours put into the game.
