Well heres the story. Tomorrow im picking up a ps3 but I can't figure out what game I should get with it. I only have enough money for one game right now, but I want to get one with good offline multiplayer. You guys have any good recommendations?
Congrats on your 1st post - erm get resistance fall of man. Its got a good single player campaign at different difficulty level settings, and also the option for a great online experience if you want to.Christopper
Yeah Im with him. Resistance is awesome in multiplayer and single player.

Since you did say Offline Multilayer then I would recommend to you Oblivion if you haven't already bought it or Ninja Gaiden sigma If you've never played it both are really good games even if they are a bit outdated since their basically extremely prettyremakes of their older versions.
Best bang for your buck = Oblivion or R:FoM. I like R6:V but I think it wont impress as a first game for your shiny new system. I am rather let down by the graphics, even when turned down to 720p (to fix the glitch). But the gameplay is rather neat.
I also still enjoy Motorstorm. I new track is to be released soon called Coyotes revenge as well as a few new vehicle skins. The Motorstorm online is great in my opinion, just needs some more refining. You like Ninjas? (who doesnt??!!), then definately give Ninja Gaiden a try. Graphically it will stun you, even on an SDTV. The gameplay is also rather impressive.
Your best bet though, if on a tight budget, is to try these games out by renting them first. This way you wont fork out $60+ for a game that you are dissapointed with.

you could always go onto PSN (playstation network) and in the store you can buy calling all cars or blast factor for really cheap, just as a backup game if you get bored with the one you are gonna buy.
