My Grandkids; bright, precocious ,semi-destructive. Actually a 7 yr old (FrankEnkayleigh),and a 4 yr old (allieStein). They both can handle the controls for burnout paradise on the PS3 fairly well. The 7 yr old crashes and says "I did that on purpose. Wrecked! Sweet!". The 4 yr old crashes, laughs wickedly and says "Burn baby, burn" (just kidding).

Ok, so I am looking for a game that possibly both kids could play singly and together. Any ideas or experience with appropriate games? Thanks

Yes, try the music games out. Like Singstar and Rock Band. Also, Ratchet and Clank is good for younger gamers, and try out cartoon games, like The Simpsons Game, or Transformers game.

I highly doubt kids are into gore. The only gore they should see is if they get a booboo on their knee. That's it.;)

This is their Nonnie and yes Ratchet and Clank Future looks pretty good. I might even enjoy playing it lol. We do already have Burnout Paradise and Kayleigh is pretty good at it. (Kind of puts me to shame) And LBP looks pretty good also. I was also thinking of Lego Star Wars. . What does everyone think of Ratatouille, Madagascar2Africa, Bolt and Kung Fu Panda? The 7 year old granddaughter gets bored very easily, and she is really a good game player, learns things very quickly and so does Allie. They are both good with computers also. They figure things out very well.Boy what kids can do these days is totally amazing. :)

Definitely go for LBP then.

If they're smart, they'll learn how to utilize the creation tools of the game, and you know how children love to create.

I'd say buy them some real toys instead. I always die a little inside when I see my cousine dropping her daughter in front of a console instead of the Barbie dream house.

They do have toys and we do not let they play alot when they come over. We do limit their time. We color, they play with their dolls, draw pictures, work on jigsaw puzzles, go to the park etc.etc. We definitely do not just let them play video games. They are very well rounded.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to close this. When asking for what games to get, for any reason, please use the Game Recommendation Thread. Thanks.
