Because home is not a game, it is a way life.(I just had to say that at least once before I try out home) But Sony already invest there money into some killer games.idk761
All I'm saying is that 2 years of work doesn't really show.
At least not yet.
Hopefully I'll eat my words later and Home will somehow be spectacular, but as of now, I don't see it entertaining.
NO ONE GETS IT. HOME IS NOT SOMETHING WHERE YOU CAN GO PLAY FOR HOURS ON END. ITS WHERE YOU GO PLAY FOR 20 MINUTES AND FIND NEW PEOPLE. IM SURE IF THEY CALLED AIM A GAME EVERYONE WOULD CALL IT STUPID. sorry for caps i just super pissed at people who post crap like thisZacherWol19
you can find new people in standard PSN games.
Home is neat n all, just not worth the time and the hype of it.
It really is. Sony should of invested their time and money into a killer game, not this.XFilthX
......How would you know...??? You don't own a PS3.....all I see in your gaming collection is 360 games...explain that fella!!!!

Hes a troll alright.
But...I agree to an extent. Not happy with the decision to blow gobs of money on HOME, when they could have med a couple first party hits. Its a glorified Vside ripoff, and Im not even going to use it.
It's not horrible, just nothing exciting that really grabbed me.
*I don't own a PS3, but I practically play one everyday at my buds so maybe I'm missing a certain aspect or something.

To tell you the truth....I don't mind the criticism(BECAUSE I DO SEE HOME AS BEING KINDA A WASTE)BUT let it come from someone who ACTUALLY" owns a PS3 and has already tried it out.

That's true.
As for me, I look at home as a firmware update, nothing more.
In fact, I don't see how people can have such high expectations of something such as home. Contrary to my opinion, people still have high expectations. I know Home will appeal too many, and same time many will find that it's not for them. I don't think I'm saying anything out of the ordinary here. But when it comes to Sony, I'll only judge them IF home fails miserably in terms of popularity after all of the dust clears. But even as I say that, it's really hard to find a corporation putting in the effort and the money into a free-of -charge project. I think that's commendable, no matter what anyone thinks. Whether this was a smart investment or not, only time will tell, and I'm, frankly, interested in how this will benefit Sony out of pure curiosity, but it's still nice to see them giving the fan base something to feast on.
So to pick side, I don't think home is special, but at the same time I don't feel like this topic is necessary. Let's try this again when Home is fully released so we have a better understanding in what the populace thinks of it, well at least the media (not that care).

Agreed!!! And here's the kicker....FOR THOSE OF YOU(INCLUDING MYSELF)lol WHO DON'T THINK THAT HOME IS FOR THEM....DON'T USE IT!!!!! Sony and supporters of Home are not sticking a gun to your head and forcing you to use it!!!

I do own a PS3. and I have tried home. and I don't really like it. that's why.OK...if I'm wrong...I do apologize ''BUT" I find VERY strange that a person who has no PS3 games listed in his gaming profile comes to the PS3 forum ranting about a PSN application that SUCK's is a little weird....don't ya think !?!
why is everybody complaining? its not like you had to pay money for home.Sk8ter_213
No, but sony did. Money that could have been spent on first party titles or holding on to exclusive series....
I think the reason people whine so much is largely due to all the hype so many other people gave it. Others got their hopes up and now that those things haven't come to fruition, they are feeling let down if not cheated a bit. When you were younger, didn't you feel a little cheated when you didn't get that super awesome thing for x-mas you were hoping for (to this day I feel cheated each and every year that christmas passes and I don't get a swedish masseuse with perky breasts, and I've had that on my wishlist for years now!) It's the build up that kills it. That's all. No one to blame really but the other overly enthused posters.
Also, to be fair, I own (and love!) a PS3 but don't have any games listed due to not giving enough of a hoot to update the list. Quite possible they do own a PS3, tried home, and it just wasn't for them.

Thats not really a valid argument. They have plenty of first party titles in development and they don't bribe third party companies into letting them have any series exclusively either. On another note, Home is a new application. No one cared for Myspace, and very few ppl even knew it existed when it was first launched a few years ago. But it wasn't too long before it was everywhere, had everything you could ask for, and was something everyone was talking about. The same could be said about Facebook, Gaiaonline, and other social networking sites. Home is a social networking application for PS3, and its NEW. As Sony considers consumer feedback and gradually improves Home, ppl will recieve the application better and it will gain popularity. With that said, judging it right now really isn't fair at all.
