GOOD NEWS! CoD4 to be awesome on PS3 after all :P

"Guys, I have been seeing lots of folks talking about how they are going to be getting the shaft on PS3. Once and for all, let me say, CoD4 on the PS3 is going to KICK *****!

We have had some of the most talented developers in the world working on the PS3 version since day one. Before they had anything to work with with CoD4, they were taking CoD2 and bringing it over to the PS3. This gave them a massive understanding of how the PS3 hardware works (and only took them a few months). As soon as CoD4 was ready to be under full development, that team began optimizing the game for the PS3. Which was in month 4 or 5 I believe.

We just blew Sony's socks off at E3. They wanted to know why all 3rd party games didn't have console parity like we do. They are EXTREMELY excited about CoD4 for the PS3.

Thats Great since I was going to get this game for PS3 anyways since I always loved the COD series (except for the first one) also since this looks like it has AWESOME GRAPHIC that it looks like it hasf***en awesome gameplay as well sucks that I don't have a HDMI output but I hope component makes it look good.

i knew that! there is a video clip on the E3 sizzle video on PSN with Call Of Duty 4 running on PS3 hardwear and it looked just as good as 360jackle2071

it is a 3rd party game so u really cant expect much from it..... i mean most of the 3rd party games that come to the ps3 are not using the ps3 at all they are just ports from he 360 which is sad.but then again what do u expect from 3rd parties most of em are just in it for the $$$360player_eq12

That was once true, but I think that trend changes as the installed base grows. COD4 is going to 60 FPS on PS3 and the team sounds dedicated to brining a quality version to PS3. Plus, with more companies starting the PS3 version of their games first now, I expect the PS3 3rd party games to be as good if not better than the other versions.

Perhaps its 1 am in the morning or I'm tired of reading ongoing dribble, but I appreciate it if you could get straight to the point instead of filling the first 2 paragraphs of fanboy propaganda then it would be much appreciated. We all know the PS3 kicks turd, but honestly I pictured you praising your PS3 as if it was god/allah/goddess/whatever. Sorry if I sound a bit rude since this is your thread, but I felt like I had to write this.

sry if this is a noob question, but the PS3 can put out more than 60 fps? i thought 120 fps was a myth or am i wrong? i'd be glad to be wrong on this one =) can't wait to add CoD 4 to my arsenal of gamesnavstar29

Well 60fps is all we really need though. Anything higher would be pointless really. I haven't really heard about the 120fps theory, so I couldn't tell you. But then again, like I said before, what would be the point anyways?
