1). Jack and Hideo said it was an exclusive at E3. In front of many people and on stage, even. Jack later told us to our collective face.
2). Kaz sent flowers for the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party. Sending flowers for events like this is a Japanese custom. Street Fighter II creator Yoshiki Okamoto sent flowers, too. Kaz's were prettier, though.
3). Sony sent Hideo a gaming cake and booze for the MG 20th Party. Gaming cake? Serious.
4). Kojima Prods. have stated that MGS4 was being developed especially for PS3 hardware.
5). Sony is producing the Metal Gear Solid movie.
6). The Metal Gear 20th Anniversary cell phone is a Sony product.

What does all this mean? The same thing it has for months. MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive. But but but... Kojima said there are no plans for now in the last interview and Konami likes money and PS3 sucks and blah blah. The reality of the situation is this, and all below are possible -

1) There is an exclusive deal in place for MGS4. Forever. All versions. That's it.
A) Kojima however, mentions the constant press, and any hints/teases about a 360 port are meant to keep MGS4 in the spotlight and discussion/news during this heavily saturated Xmas season so that sales will be strong in early 2008, and odd time to release such a big title.

2) There is an exclusive deal in place, with subtext. Possibilities -
A) It is a timed exclusive of 6 - 12 months. After which Konami can release MGS4 on any system they wish.
B) There is a deal in place based on sales. If MGS4 sells poorly, it can be released on other systems.

3) There is no monetary deal in place per se, only an agreement or trading of favors. If MGS4 sells poorly, they are free to release a port as Konami sees fit. Or release a Subsistence version on other systems should they choose.

No one outside of Konami or Sony knows the working details of the MGS4 exclusivity agreement, we just know that one exists. It could be PS3 exclusive forever, it could be for 6 months, who knows. Next time you try to post some crazy "proof" that amounts to nothing but speculation or rumors from outdated OXM articles or horribly biased sites with "trusted" sources, remember the crushing presence of this post now and forever.

I now declair this. Every moron that comes on here with the MGS4 to 360 crap, a curse will be brought upon them for 7 years.

If anyone's dumb enough to believe an old rumor that's been killed by Kojima, then they'll follow my curse faithfully.

Man who cares, I think if anyone wants to play MGS4, they should just go buy a PS3, you can get the 40 gig for $400 and you can prolly find them cheaper on ebay. I hope you all actually read the article and are not just being pissed off. Yes, MGS4 should be ps3 exclusive. The only reason why subsistance came to the xbox is because Konami's contract with Sony expired. So sony saw it as an oppirtunity to make money. So, even if it will not be exclusive, it will be exclusive for about a year.
