^ Nice list.

Out of that list, I'd highly recommend you getting Tales Of Eternia.

Not sure if this counts as an RPG, but PoPoLoCrois is pretty good.

FF tactics Disgaea Valkyrie Profile Lenneth are all superb RPG's Jeanne D'arc and Breath of Fire 3 are quite good to disappointed with Tales of Eternia, but if turn based combat isnt your thing then you may want to consider tales of eternia.

The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion
Untold Legends Brotherhood of the Blade

i considered both of them under-rated and in LoH i clocked maybe 50+ hrs and in UL i clocked maybe another 40+ hrs

Yeah I think RurouniSaiyajin's list would do nicely although FF Tactics, Disgaea: AoD are basically strategy RPG

Its because those are some games which never age with time. I did play Tales Of Eternia first on PSP though.

Why is it that whenever people ask for a good rpg, Disgaea, FFTactics and Jean D'Arc always turn up?

They aren't rpgs! They're strategy rpgs, but definitely with a much higher emphasis on strategy. So really, they're closer to being an all out turn based strategy game rather than a role playing game. They play nothing like rpgs. You play each mission individually without any classic rpg staples like overworld.

Seriously. They're good games. But they aren't rpgs. So stop misleading people.

It was released in Europe but not in the US I think. If you want it you could always import the PAL version.

I've looked into getting Tales of Eternia, but it's very expensive, hard to find the European copy to import.

Try looking for Tales of Destiny 2 for the PS1. Its the same as Eternia (just different title), and probably will be more cheaper.

I've played pretty much all the popular RPG's on the PSP, and I came across one that I loved a lot. And the game i'm talking about is brave story: new traveler.

*double facepalm*

strategy rpgs are a completely different genre than straight up rpgs...

just like a turn based strategy game is not the same as a real time strategy game. "oh but but they're both strategy games". give me a break.

a strategy rpg is a strategy rpg.

an rpg is an rpg.
