Well guys, I've been patrolling this board for the past little while reading about the PS3 and trying to decide if it's worth this not-so-small ransom, and I think I've come to an almost deffinate conclusion. I'm pretty solid on trying to find a 60 gig, but if I can't find one, well, I guess I'm back to square one, because I'm deff not paying for the 80 at its current price.

Anyhow, what with the cost of the system already, I can't really afford to drop the cash on several games right now, so I'm thinking of just a single game to tide me over 'till Christmas or something. Any suggestions? (I'm currently considering Resistance, Warhawk, SKATE)

Thanks.

If you're looking for online pwnage go for warhawk. Resistance online is equally as fun and also comes with a campaign mode. But I like how you can play online with ur buddies on the same PS3 with warhawk. I havent played skate s oI cant tell u anything about that. For single player games I'd look at Ninja Gaiden sigma or Oblivion depending whether u like RPGs or Action adventures. I like RPGs but Oblivion was more of a PC RPG and didnt have me glued for long. But u can always buy the system and download demos on the Playstation Store; they're free.

skate for single player

warhawk for online(dosnt even have campain)

resistance has both. and would be my choice

Personally i would rent heavenly sword(or buy) and then get oblivion goty edition and rachet when they come out this month.

oh yeah and i really like skate but im not sure it would be best if you only had one game.

I'd recommend Motorstorm or Heavenly Sword. Two best experiences on the PS3 right there. Resistance is really good though, and is worth a buy too, but I'd wait as the price is most likely about to drop on that now that the holiday season and it's new lineup of games is finally rolling around. Warhawk is alright, though it can be kind of boring at times. It's got a pretty steep learning curve, or getting used to time before it starts to get fun. Ninja Gaiden: Sigma is also pretty awesome, I'd reccomend it when the price drops, but overall, it comes down to either Motorstorm or Heavenly Sword IMO. Two short, but utterly spectacular experiences.

To be honest I completely forgot about Sigma, thanks for that one, it's something to also consider. As for Oblivion, my friend owns a 360 and I've played it at his place. It's fun, sure. But as you say, it just didn't have my too glued. I just enjoy terrorizing the townspeople, who, incidentally are unnaturally overpowered compared to my hero. Wtf, why don't THEY go and fight monsters then.

Anyway, thanks also for the tip of the free downloads. I wasn't aware that the PS3 allowed you to dl free. Good call.

Also, about my preferance in the 60 gig, without having a PS3, I don't really have a knowledge base: Is that more than enough memory for most gaming? Thanks.

Id go for Dirt over Motostorm? Just my ten cents. And its one of the few from that company, that actually runs as it should on the PS3. Even thow we still know they can do better yet.

The 60 gig is an excellent choice my friend. As for what game to get?...Warhawk...

It is easily the best PS3 game out right now with the largest fan base. Online is very good fun and easy. Diverse modes let you play for hours on end. From jumping in a warhawk to driving a jeep its a very imerse game.

I can personally say that this is the most fun ive had on the ps3 so far, great game and definitley worth the pick up. Especially if u need a headset, the headset is great. Check my video reviews for the review of the headset..Jabra bt125

60 is more than enough. I have almost all of the demos and every video game trailer and upcoming movie trailers it has in full HD plus warhawk installed and I've only filled about 1/2 the space which I can (and should) easily clear out.
