Imo i think there will be an upcoming price drop. I have one and love it though. GT is the best exclusive racing game. Motorstorm is um okay. It was fine playing it online the first time but thats it.

The best time to buy any console you are interested in, imo is as soon as possible. The sooner you can start enjoying great games the better. Some 50 dollar or even 100 dollar price drop is not worth waiting in my opinion. Put it like this, there are 126 PS3 games that have metacritic averages of 75 or greater. Of those 126 probably a 1/4 of them will be of some interest to you. So that's roughtly 30-35 games that you should play. Not to mention that 2009 is right around the corner and that number is going to just grow and grow. Get the PS3 now and enjoy.

The best time is when you have the money and you're really interested with the PS3. if you do, it means now is the time. you have to decide for yourself. and if you want a feedback from PS3 user... don't listen to all the bad stuff you hear about... the PS3 is an excellent gaming/entertainment system! it has never let me down over the year, since the day of the PSone. and read below...

Regarding the HDD question, Many PS3 games require an install of a good amount of data to the hard drive before you can play. Also, you can store saves, music, pictures, videos, downloaded demos and trailers, etc.

It's a good time to start doing some research & start thinking for yourself when it comes to spending your money.
