I got a $40 giftcard to bestbuy, and I want to buy something for the PS3. basically my choices are: SOCOM and PS3 headset for 59.99 (add some $$ of course) LittleBigPlanet 44.99 Warhawk 29.99 Not sure which one to get... Leaning towards Socom for the headset.

I'll be different and say Socom since I currently can't seem to stop playing. But LBP would be a great choice as well.

If the only thing gravitating you towards SOCOM is the headset, then go with LBP.

I would say LBP, but if you need a Headset, then Socom womuldn't be a bad option either.

SOCOM is an amazing game, especially if you tend to like games with a little more realism. Plus, i hear the mic is pretty nice. My friends love Warhawk, but i find it OK, and i can't help you with LBP
