Got Bad Company 2 yesterday and I have a small problem...

Its nothing major but the game looks like CRAP. I read everywhere that its so beautiful and all my friends told me the same. It honestly looks like a very late PS2 game, which is weird because its the newest game I have bought and all my older games (Killzone 2, Bioshocks, Orange Box) all look amazing.

I have a 42 Sony Bravia and its all hooked up with an HDMI, do you think it might be the game itself?

I've seen topics about this with other games, and what might be happening is that the game is designed to run at 720 and your settings are for 1080? Check your resolution settings for the game and make sure you're using the right output on the PS3...

Maybe you're nagging about the lack of Anti-Aliasing? Yes, in that case Bioshock, Killzone2, Half life 2 and everything else in the OB surpass BFBC2 .Fightingfan

First of all, there is NO way that Bioshock has better graphics. Bioshock has some of the worst graphics this gen (for big games). That said, even though this is one of my favorite games I must say the visuals are not that good on todays standard. But they are not atrocious or anything. I hope BF3 has better graphics (it should, as its using the Frostbite 3 engine I believe, rather than 2.5), but its not too big a deal to me.

P.S. - I have it on PC so mine probably looks a lot better too :P.

It is the PS3 outputting to the TV, so I doubt it "Sets itself" - your TV would have to tell your PS3 to run at the approved setting ... and that - Does NOT happen.

put it in 720 p in ps3 settings. and dont sit so close u r not supposed to since its 42 inches ur supposed to be a certin distance away from it

it doesnt look that bad..u have to take in account the destruction, relatively large maps, vehicles, all real time at the same moment.. these are console shooters not pc shooters..just have to get used to it a little..MOH looks better and feels a bit more precise
