ok I got the same problem. but I have a 60GB model(with 320 GB upgrade) will they send me back my original fully bc console (keep in mind that I like to play ps2 games so I would love to have it back) or will they give me a newer refurb console? and what do I do about my 320HDD? do they send it back?. :x ps my gta4 copy is stuck in
You will get your console back if it can be repaired, otherwise you get a different one. Be sure to mention that you have your own HDD in the PS3, and be sure to mention GTA4 is still in your PS3 when you call them.ok I got the same problem. but I have a 60GB model(with 320 GB upgrade) will they send me back my original fully bc console (keep in mind that I like to play ps2 games so I would love to have it back) or will they give me a newer refurb console? and what do I do about my 320HDD? do they send it back?. :x ps my gta4 copy is stuck in

$150. Sorry bud. Get an external fan next time 'round.
runekey
External fans just gonna mess stuff up... Just make sure it is in a completely open space and use a low powered bristle attachment vacuum to clean your PS3 every once in a while... Dust clogs the vents, and external fans are a waist at that point anyway...
Uh oh. Sucks for you. :( At least E74 is covered by the 3 year warranty just like the RRoD. Sony needs to have a warranty like that for the YLoD. yes, i think sonys a bit behind on making us happy =P I WANT MEH PS3 BACKZORZ![QUOTE="KittensWithBeer"]
I just got E 74 on my xbox. I hope my PS3 doesn't YLoD on top of that :(

ummm.... if I were you, I would NOT leave your 320HDD in your Ps3. I took my HDD out when I sent my 60GB by for repair and they gave me a new (different) 60GB back with a new 60HDD and everything. I mean they completely gave me pretty much a new 60GB and said, there you go; start over.
If I were you I would put my original hdd back in and hold on to your 320 tbh. Good luck

Not trying to be rude but, I'm pretty sure you should put the original drive back in the PS3. I'd call Sony to make sure as I doubt they will be swapping harddrives for you.

I told the guy to make sure to tell Sony he has his own HDD and a game stuck in the system when he calls them. It's now up to him to do so. If he does that, everything will be alright. Please Log In to post.
