Yeah I know it's not out yet, but in anticipation for Tusday.

I've just bought Dirt3 and enjoy it a lot so far, although I miss some aspects from Dirt2. Since I cannot connect to the PSN store I cannot trade in my VIP code to unlock multiplayer and extra's. The game is cheaper than a standard PS3 new game, but it comes to my belief that there's a lot of payable DC available (including tracks and car packs) . GT5 was a failure in my opinion.
How is it cheaper than a standard PS3 game? i want the game but dont want to pay full price.I've just bought Dirt3 and enjoy it a lot so far, although I miss some aspects from Dirt2. A new game costs between 60 and 70 euros here in Belgium (Europe) . I paid a new Dirt3 50 euros . There appear to be 4 DLC packs in the store, but I cannot check this because the PSN is still inaccessible.

ok i see now. Its the same here in the US. (60)Why put both against each other? One is a racing simulation and the other focuses on off-road racing. Codemasters have nailed it with Dirt 2 and Dirt1. It only gets better from here on.Jerell_rastDirt 3 isn't a complete racing simulator but it's close enough. Also wondering how the online in Dirt 3 is to GT 5 and if it will last.
I've just seen the review on Dirt 3, and the game actually looks quite good. But overall GT5 beats it with superior graphics and beautiful cars :pr4v1rsmWell, for some of the cars. Since only the Premium cars in Gt5 look any good, the rest look like upresed PS2 models (probably because they mostly are...)
Allthough i havent played DiRT 3 (yet) i doubt ill like it more than GT5, which was the perfect racing game imo.
[QUOTE="kieranb2000"]Depends on the kind of racing you want. For on-road racing, GT5, for off-road Dirt 3, because the off-road stuff in GT5 was quite frankly terrible.Shielder7Dirt 3 has on road as well doesn't it\? Yeah, but almost all the on-road racing has off-road sections too I believe. Except the trick stuff, which isn't racing. And is amazing (something GT5 doesn't have too)
Only had Dirt 3 for two days but so far I'm finding it more engaging than GT5 was. I've just done a stage in Kenya and the scenery is fantastic in Dirt 3, while the cars feel a little more challenging to drive which is also good. My first hour on GT5 was filled with "oh that looks a bit jagged" and "hmm, why did they change the menus" moments, while with Dirt 3 everything seems to have just improved on the already great Dirt 2.
I think Codemasters have pretty much nailed down their place in the driving/racing games this gen and I'm just hoping Grid 3 (if it's released) carries on this trend.
I haven't played Dirt 3 yet but judging from reviews, previews & videos it defintely look more enjoyable than Gran Turismo 5.

This. Having seen tons of videos, I have to say Dirt 3 hands down. But I don't get how they can have seriously improved Dirt 3 over Dirt 2.
Having played 300+ hours of Dirt 2 (200 PS3, 100 PC, yeah i know its a lot) , i don't really get how Dirt 3 could be greatly improved. Can someone explain?
