How AWESOME is this game??? I got a PS3 for christmas, and after waiting many moons since getting it, finally went to a Wal-Mart that had the game, bought it, and got to play it for the first time three days ago. I'm pretty far into the game, and I LOVE the graphics and physics. If you run into someone at a certain angle while they are already sort of knocked over, or if you just plain run into them head on, they FALL OVER!!! The boxes that fill the sidewalks are actually filled with junk! The doors and buildings that are accessable are seamless! (I find it fun to go into the hospital, take out a rocket launcher and a few molotovs, and light the place up) I love how you can interact with pretty much everything!! What do you think?
I don't even know what to say to this thread. I enjoyed GTA IV but I had more cons than pros by the time I was "done" with it. The online seemed to be a bit hit or miss as well. Definitely a solid game but it felt like a port of GTA III to a next gen console with a remarkably stripped down feature set (in comparison to the previous game in the series which was San Andreas).
I bought it after seeing the 10/10 gamespot gave it. Simple truth is that San Andreas is a much better game period. I felt cheated playing this stripped down GTA. I like Vice City more to be honest. This was like someone above me said a ported GTA 3.

i agree with you 100%. I can't wait for Rockstar to give us another GTA SA.
Well what I like to think about the game is that it is great and has a deep story line making it a good game in general. But it does come off as a stripped down version "true" but also we have to remember when GTA3 came out for PS2, it also didn't have much you can do. But as Vice City and Sanandreas had come along there was more content to go with the game. I also feel the same about GTA4 it made its introduction as did GTA 3 this is my opinion, I feel that its setting the foundation for the up and coming GTA's. I am just crossing my fingers hoping that California will be the last installment save the best for last. GTA4 Great game love the story, love the physics and the multiplayer was also great allot of racing.
Best sandbox game of all time IMO. Never have I seen such a gritty, realistic open-world game. And it's filled to the brim with stuff to do.

They took out most of the good things in San Andreas. I always go for 100% in GTA. But killing 200 pigeons for a crappy helicopter is a joke. I rather pay $10 for San Andreas PC then waste $30 on a game not even half as good. Any GTA fan I have meet can see this game for what it is. A polished gimp GTA 3.

They took out most of the good things in San Andreas. I always go for 100% in GTA. But killing 200 pigeons for a crappy helicopter is a joke. I rather pay $10 for San Andreas PC then waste $30 on a game not even half as good. Any GTA fan I have meet can see this game for what it is. A polished gimp GTA 3.

Yeah awesome game. It's to bad the PS3 doesn't get Lost and the Damned or Ballad of Gay Tony, because those are really awesome, and I actually enjoyed Ballad of Gay Tony more than GTA 4.
It's was ok at first but as I played more of it I started to see some things I didn't like. I think the game should have been a 9.5/10. There are flaws in the game that you will soon notice or you will miss something from it's predecessors.
me too i got my ps3 and gta 4 on christmas and gta 4 is pretty cool very good game awesome graphics and the people around you aresmart compared to previous gta games.
I'm enjoying it so far, though I have the PC version which runs on average a smooth 15 FPS :evil: . However, the only time I played 3/VC/SA is when me and friends tried to see who could last the longest with a 6-star wanted level so that may have something to do with it.
From what I've played, it seems like the sandbox part is worse that GTA 3/VC/SA, but the story and missions are better.

The TC had ti easy, but geez, everybody will hate on you. San Andreas is one of the best games ever to me and to many other people. I don't care what other people think, but lots of people will argue with you...
