Yeah, it's totally worth it for junk that'll end up in a closet a month after you get the game. The CD is the only useful thing, and I'm sure each song can be downloaded from iTunes or elsewhere for much cheaper.

Really, when you buy it are you going to look at the extras first? It's most likely you are gonna rip through everything and shove the game in the PS3.
You'll look at the extra stuff for 10 minutes, then never look at it again as you play GTA4. It's a waste of money in the end, but nice to see it at first.
I have 50 dollars in my preorder of the s.e. Its the first se i ever got. Part of me is like well this se has some cool stuff, were are you going to find a GTA4 duffel bag or lockbox. Plus you get a keychain and a c.d., which they said you will not be able to get this music on any of their other c.d.'s. But on the other hand, i thought of it last night, holy **** i am paying 100 dollars for this game.

as for where to find the lockbox and the duffel bag, i suggest looking on eBay right after people realize that it was a complete waste to pay that much for an exclusive CD
I could use the duffel bag for when i go to the gym, the safety deposit box to hide...(I can't really say,but will be usefull),the audio cd will be played in my car(hopefully it has some decent music by known artists), the artbook will be cool to check out (im a fan of art), and the keychain will be used for my keys for the safety deposit box.
You guys are SO LUCKY!!! I have the money for the special edition but here in my crappy country I can't get only the normal edition! If I had a change i whould 100% get the special edition !!! :(

Not at all. It's like 30$ more for what? A bag, a metal case, etc. If you wouldn't pay 30$ for the extra stuff if it wouldn't come with the game, don't buy the special edition. That's it.
Worth it if you want to spend $40 on packeging that'll sit there, a duffel bag you'll never use, a cd you'll listen to once, an art book of the art you can see in the game you are playing, and a keychain.

I have it on pre-order and I also have MGS special on preoder in my mind... I never got special editions before but these are two big games for me and marks an end for a gaming era for me. You see I am about to graduate college with a computer science degree and next year I will start on my techinical engineering degree. And this is the first summer where I am kinda free from classes and work in a long time... so I am going to enjoy these two games for this might be the last time I can game non-stop for days...tear tear...:cry:
Dont get me wrong I will always be a gamer but I will not get to play as much as I would like because of things like work and my family getting in the way...lol
what's the sku of the special edition? if it's more than, say, $10 or so don't get it because you know for a fact that nothing that is included in the S.E. will directly enhance your enjoyment of the game nor modify it in anyway. BTE i'm not getting gta4 at all; me not knowing it's price on the other hand is still pretty shameful :(
I say it is worth it, the duffel bag is worth around 50 bucks, the lockbox is worth well over 100 bucks, as you can go everywhere else and the asking price for the lockbox will be a good price over 100 bucks. Sure the OST will be something I'll be listening to and putting on my Ipod if there's good rap songs. Why not take the art book, art is nice, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I'm glad I got the SE not because of all the nice extras, but because I'm a fan of GTA and I want to support them. I already paid in full ages ago and come on, is 30 extra dollars really going to ruin your life? Money is no obstacle to me so I don't see the point in not pitching in a few extra bucks to get something worth the while. To each his/her own opinion. Don't bash others just because they like things that you don't.
I would buy a special edition if it was in a really nice, tin presentation case and pay an extra few pounds for it, if its a game I really like and I know im going to want to keep, such as gta4 - but all the stuff like the duffel bag and the lockbox is just a waste of cash.
