since rockstar made a liberty city stories and a vice city stories, do you think theyll end up makin a san andreas stories?

LCS was released in october of 2005.

VCS was released in october of 2006.

so if they do make a san andrea stories, wouldnt it make sense for it to come out in october of 2007?

although i think this is a great idea, i see a problem with it. san andreas was huge, significantly bigger then vice city and liberty city. rockstar probably wont be able to fit it all on one umd unless they make the graphics really really bad. i found two solutions to this problem:

1) rockstar can make the game on multiple UMDs, however switching them out while in a car chase or something like that could get frustrating.

2) the game can be split into three games, one for san fierro, los santos, and las venturas. this, however, could make planes useless, as the three cities would be about the ****of vice city.

i'd like to know your thoughts and comments on this and if any of you have official information, please post it here! thank you for reading.

I think if they do make SAS it won't be for PSP. It will be on Wii. R* knows that the Wii isn't going to flop, and they can't ignore the oportunity to make blockbuster games for it. The PSP is just too limiting for a game the size of San Andreas. Even if they removed lots of features, lowerd the graphic quality, and made a shorter story it would still be large. Also, R* hates making low quality games, so they aren't likely to remove features, lower graphic quality or shorten a story just to sell a game.

They could just make a new character and make the city a little smaller. They did it with Vice City. Vic Vance wasn't in Vice City, just VCS. And you couldn't go into most of the buildings.

Yeah, so I doubt they'd be working on GTA: SAS.

GTA 3- 2001

GTA VC- 2002

GTA  SA-2004

GTA LCS- 2005

GTA VCS-2006

The pattern says San Andreas Stories will be out >>>>>>2008

The people who develop GTA PSP games are Rockstar North.  So they could be working on that while the main rockstar team works on GTA 4.

I've always said that they should do that. I've even thought of the perfect idea - cut out the story, and just have online 32 player battles with custom characters and stuff. I had a lot more ideas but my finger hurts so I can't type them all atm.

WTH lol don't do what above poster just said. GTA has always been about the single player sandbox gameplay not online battles. Also PSP games generally suck real bad online. And if the online is any good the single player is terrible (MOH, Socom). Just make it San Andreas Stories if there is too much stuff to fit on a UMD cut down the parts of the city that weren't essentially to the story. 2008 will be it's likely release due to all of Rockstar's efforts focused on GTAIV.

Well... we're entitled to our opinions. But I'd rather have a slightly laggy online game than sit through another stupid GTA storyline.

No, R* Leeds make the PSP games. R*North are working on GTA IV(with people from the San Diegeo team, the makers of Midnight Club). Leeds is woking on Beaterator for PSP. North are also making Manhunt 2, so they are very busy. The "main team" don't make anything. They are the ones who come up with ideas and tell the development houses what to make. They work on the writing, voice acting, audio and advertisingfor all the R* games, while the dev teams do programming and graphics.

correct me if i'm wrong but i dont think VCS did as well as planed, and software in general isnt selling well on the psp, so i wouldnt be surprised if they stopped making new ones every year. maybe something totally new in the next 2 years..?
