What if there was? Play as Sweet or Cesar or someone new. They should've made a San Andreas Stories, there were prequels to Vice City and GTA III but not San Andreas. It's the only game in the GTA III canon to not have a Stories prequel.

I've always agreed that a San Andreas stories would be fantastic (GTA: SA was my favorite in the series) but I don't think we'll get one for a few reasons.

One: Rockstar seems to be all about creating a new universe, i.e. the new Liberty City, and judging by Chinatown Wars using this new universe template I doubt that we will see a return to the ps2-universe any time soon, if ever.

Second: I can't honestly begin to say that I know a lot about tech specs or what can be handled on the PSP, but quite frankly I don't believe that the PSP could handle the sheer size of San Andreas (whether it fits on a UMD or not is beyond me, and please don't anyone go off on a tanget like "Oh but it could be donez downloadablez on the PSP Goes!" because I highly doubt that Sony wants to make download-exclusive games that would take up several gigs at once).

Course, once again, it could just be my own ignorance talking. :)

If they were going to make one, they would've already. But they should make a side story of CJ..

I'm not sure why they didn't actually. Sure they may of needed to take out features such as the gym and fast food, but that's not a huge loss. I think GTA: VCS was sonewhere around 800mb. A double layer UMD can hold about 1600mb, so they still have twice as much memory to use.

Even if they needed to take out one of the islands, it still would have likely been my favorite PSP game for a long time.

GTA: Chinatown Wars port on the other hand...lame. I already played it on DS and it was nothing special. Even in full 3rd person 3D, it wouldn't be that interesting. They should have at least made a new city for their next PSP game.

They wouldn't make a main character playable twice.

This. However I have to admit that playing as Sweet or something like that before CJ's return would be pretty cool, though we all know that the game would end on a low note. :P

San Andreas was the worst game of the series, I'm SO glad there's no PSP game!!! The bottom of an over-scraped barrel.

It would definitely be awesome, but they would never be able to get the whole San Andreas world and all of its features onto 1 UMD disc. Sadly enough.

i couldnt disagree more. SA was the best GTA game, GTA IV was a step back in my opinion. but they WONT make GTA SA stories on the psp. if they wanted to Rockstar would have by now. I just hope the DS port (China Town wars?) is half decent, but I'm not expecting it to be as good as Vice City Stories.

"China Town" is pretty good on the DS, no idea how it will port over to the PSP. I think that SA just lost some of the fun, it was TOO involved in making it a sim-life with the eating and exercize and the rest of the minutia, which made it too much like The Sims to me. Glad you liked SA, I traded my copy a week or two after having it.

PS - "GTAIV" would probably get a lower score than the last-gen GTAs from me too, as it has too much "real-life" in it.

San Andreas barely ran on the PS2, it most certainly isn't going to work on the PSP especially considering the limitations of the UMD drive for streaming.
