GRAND TURISMO 5 delayed to ....... 2010

Its been well known that GT5P would be update many time and that GT5 would be around for some time, but dang 2010? thats way to long

Here's that text in white so you can actually read it... Were you one of those people that skipped Prologue to wait for the full version of Gran Turismo 5? Get ready to wait. In an interview with Joystiq, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi stated that the full version of GT5 "might not even roll out before 2010". Instead, Prologue will continue to be expanded upon, with additional cars, tracks and features. In fact, a new update is planned for the "near future." The big question we have though is: will it be free? ... Question though: How can something that never had a firm release date be delayed?CellAnimation

2. I think they are working on crash damage for cars. Ever wonder why the cars don't take damage? Is because the manufatures though it would make their cars look bad. So I think they are working together with companies to put in crash damage. Which I would love. Since no matter how real a car looks and they claim it feels, it will always be fake unless you add in Crash damage and effects. Which I know would look great :). Oh noes! Yeah. Polyphony are known as such perfectionists that if Damage modeling is being put in thats the reason for the delay. It would be so damn relaistic, versus the damage in a NFS Game. But still damn, 2 years? Fack.

Sharing through the SPE's and PPE would do a good enough job. I doubt that overall we can assume how much it would take, given what levels of sacrafices they are going to make to the extent of understanding of how much it would require. I haven't read anywhere that that's the reason where they said it couldn't handle what they planned. I know it has it's limitations, but how much computing do you think it will require?

I read the same thing on ign. Supposely, their not even working on GT5, just GT5P updates as of now.
