Great Expectations of 2008 (PS3)

We all know the big names of 2008 that we have all been drooling and waiting impatiently for. Here are a few of them:

Phew! And that was just the big name ones...... that is a crap load of games! If you ask me, this is gonna be another amazing year for gaming with so much to choose from, and personally I think 2008 is the Year of the PS3.

ooo definately man, plus i forgot to mention Home, even though it doesnt technically count as a game, but it could be a huge plus for the ps3 if done right. hopefully it can at least match xbox live and even better, surpass it on a whole other level. oh, and that playtv thing is comin soon too.

white knight story is an rpg..... you should look it up :)

MGS4, Killzone2, FFXIII ( don't know if it will be released this year) Same for ResidentEvil5 and maybe GTAVI

For me, I really hope to see White Night Chronicles come out this year (not just Japan, but NA as well). I know I'm picking up Soul Calibur IV and Midnight Club: Los Angeles when they're released. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, I'm not as hyped for the game as I am the others, but I'll probably end up picking it up too, because it's the last in the series and I've never really played a Metal Gear Solid game before (from what I've seen thus far, the game looks damn good), I don't want to miss out on it. It looks like it's gonna offer a unique experience from that of regular shooters (I think it's labeled as a action/stealth game).

The only other game, I may get for this year is Tekken 6. At this point, I'm on the fence about it. Since I haven't seen that much of the game, I'm thinking it may get delayed, so who knows. I'll make my decision about that game after it's released.

Let's face it many of those games will be delayed until next year for whatever reason: The Getaway, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2, and Tomb Raider Underworld... just to name a few likely suspects.

Anyway, I'm still very excited. PS3 owners will get MGS4, Haze, and LittleBigPlanet in 2008; that's for sure. Boy! Think about it. Resistance 2, Killzone 2, MGS4, Haze, and Gran Turismo 5 all in the same year!!?? and those are just the PS3 exclusives!

haha yup, 2008 is also the year of the broke PS3 owners. i agree, with playtv, home, psn makeover, mabye ingame XMB, and more multiplatform games being made first for ps3 rather than xbox360 like before, PS3 is gonna rise out of the ashes and become a seriously awesome game/multimedia console!

that would be a weird game..... but anyways, i had to read that book for my english class and sorry to say, it was really boring...... i think it is just from when u HAVE to read a book for school that it sux.....

My only fear is that probably many of the titles mentioned in here, will be pushed back and delayed to next year... If not then we have one heck of a gaming year ahead :)

Alone In The Dark, Battlefield Bad Company, MGS4, KZ2, Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill 5 and Tomb Raider Underworld are the games I'm most looking forward to.

MGS4, GTA4, Resi 5, Dark Sector, Killzone 2, Soul Calibur 4, Tekken 6, Prototype, Alone in the Dark, LittleBigPlanet, DBZ: Burst Limit, Bionic Commando to name a few. I'm probably forgetting some. This will indeed be ps3s year.

And no i'm not rich, i just spend alot of money on my gaming. Bought a 360 and a ps3 last year and about 20 games between my 360 and my ps3.

Oddly theres only 1 game coming this year for 360 i want, that being too human.
I might just sell it and buy more ps3 games lol. I would like to get gt5 prologue and a few other titles i'm not 100% certain about yet.
