Great games you've never played

I'm almost ashamed to admit this but i have never played SoTC. Kinda wierd calling a game great which i've never touched great but the general concensus is this was one of the big ones that i just missed :(. Come to think of it i never played ICO either so maybe that's why i never gave SoTC a chance. What is it about this game that makes it so great anyways? What am i missing? I've been having think itch to play older games lately b/c the new ones just dont seem to interest me atm so maybe i'll go pick this one up.

the MGS games.... I need to buy the Essential Collection, but it sucks that I missed out on the previous MGS games for ps1 and 2 back when they first came out:(

Well, for the PS3 I've never played Uncharted, MGS4, Disgaea 3 (all the Disgaeas actually), and Folklore. I'd really like to get my hands on Folklore the most out of those.

GTA IV it's just there are too many great games and I don't have enough time to play them all :(

Meh, I'm just going off of reviews and member reviews/impressions. I could very well end up hating the games, but they are still considered "great" by the community.

Never played a Final Fantasy game. :o

PS3 games include Valkyria Chronicles, Fallout 3, Oblivion and Dead Space.

I kind of want to play FF just to check out why people think its so interesting. It probably is pretty epic but im an MGS fanatic so im not used to fantasy games. Would be nice to experience a different genre of gaming thoughANIALATOR136

I've heard some great things about Heavenly Sword, so that's probably first on the list. I try to get my hands on all of the "great" games one way or another so I can find out for myself. This game however, has remained at such a high price tag that I refuse until it's dropped. raven_squad

I just played through Resident Evil 4 on my Wii. I'm on my second playthrough now. If you don't own a Wii, then get it for PS2 and play it(since I'm on a PS3 board), if your PS3 is BC then get it and play it NOW. NO EXCUSES!!!! A must play.

For those of you who have not played Valkyria Chronicles...I feel for you. I HATED!!! the demo but LOVE!!! the game. DO NOT judge the game by the demo. If you even remotely like the demo, you'll love the game to pieces. The leveling, the story, the individuals that you get to have. I WILL restart my mission if Jann dies. I absolutely love it when I have Jann and Largo on the field at the same time. The individual characters and gameplay are ADDICTIVE.

Don't miss out on VC. A great game that came out at a bad time. It's a game to pick up now and see what you've missed.

I played the first Resident Evil, but I just couldn't get into the rest of the series. The controls drove me absolutely nuts. I hear they are all great though?

Suikoden II. I loved the first one, but never had a chance to pick up the second one due lack of funds back then. All my friends that played it have said it was the best Suikoden to come out. Unfortunately, unless it gets re-released, I won't have a chance to play it anytime soon because I'm not willing to pay $100 for a used ps1 game. I guess there are "other" means of getting it.

Funny i dont recall saying "great" by my personal standards. You must have assumed that and you know what they say when you assume. Now if you want to continue being argumentative, then i'll start a new thread about how you can/cant tell if a game is great without playing it just for you. Otherwise contribute to this thread ike everyone else ;)

Resistance 2 (loved the first one, just to damn poor) and Valkyria Chronicles (saw gameplay footage on Youtube, looks pretty stupid yet I hear great things about this game).

WHAT?! you havent played SotC!

that is my all time favoirte game and for only 20 bucks you should go out and buy it right now!

but as for me a great game i havent played (yet) is Bioshock

i haven't tried:

4. Civilization Revolution

Any of the legend of Zelda games. Never played one.
