Nathan Drake??? you have got to be kidding me, i mean hes cool and its a great game but, theres no way 7 hrs of gaming beats out any of the characters i mentioned? maybe after uncharted 2 comes out he can make a run for it.
I saw a deck of playing cards once with game characters on them. The ace of spades was Kain from Legacy of Kain. If anyone thinks that Kain does not desrve to be the ace of spades in game industry, think again!

just like theres no way snake, kratos, and master chief deserve to be in the discussion with mario. the only one that even comes close is snake, but mario is recognized worldwide. even your grandma knows who mario is. mario is a legend.

Yeah I don't see how a silent protagonist can be in a discussion for best videogame character ever. Well, he's not actually silent entirely... he makes cheesy 80's action movie one-liners. And if you were referring to Samus, I'd rather her be silent then give off quips and smartassedness like Nathan Drake. Plus her adventures, accomplishments, etc... shes badass.

i know, its really not even close. mario is a wayyyyyyy bigger videogame icon than snake. the only other characters that i'd even put in the discussion with mario are sonic the hedgehog and maybe link from zelda. but if the TC is meaning like "coolest" game character then maybe mario wouldnt win because thats more of an opinion.
I have 2 as of the moment, they each have only been in 1 game each, but they each have sequals coming, and I know just about everyone has heard of them (just about)
