GT5 help needed ( traction control )

I have the Driving force GT wheeland I use the little red wheel on it to alter my traction control, break balance, ect but when i tried to use it today i couldn't select them. I can select break balance but not the traction, its shaded darker than all the other optionsI have. Have i turn something off i just don't no

Depending on which event you're in, some of them don't let you adjust certain things.

does it matter that i have just gone lvl 21 aspec
