GT5 is a MUST BUY!

Many people on these fourms are hating on the game. Must be the slow introduction and the use of slow cars at first, but after you get past that, it is amazing. The way the car feels and drives is awesome. The game is quite similar to Forza 3 in many ways, more ways then I would have expected. The only two cons I have seen thus far are; Damage: it is like I am playing bumper cars again lol and Graphics: They look much worse then I would expect, a little better then Forza 3 but I have been play racing games on the PC for past months so a downgrade in graphics was expected =( Why can't GT5 be for PC??

Anyways, the game is an amazing console racer. Go BUY IT!! lol

I guess but I wouldn't call myself a racing fan. I like all video games and try to play them all..expect sports games other then FIFA.

I'd say its a must buy but not Game of the Year material for me but I like it so far.

How is the Nascar portion? Anyone who has it already

Its really good. My first car a premium Civic, ive fixed itup into a perfomance car (it flys now)and done a few championships with it. Through them ive won 2 standard cars which are good additions ive just tried them out on test run. Also Ive won a premium Go Kart which ive won a championship with. Great game so far, using manual gears fot the first time and the cars feel amazing. Brilliant game.

How is the Nascar portion? Anyone who has it already

I just brought the game I am installing it right now.I cant wait to jump into the game.Finallya GT game for my PS3 now I can say my collection is complete8)

You unlock car damage half way through the game. Strange, I know.

I bought the game and i am installing it right now. To tell you the truth, i am not expecting very much. I am a Need for Speed, Dirt 2 kind of guy. I do have Forza 3, and it did take me awhile to warm up to that game, and after spending time with it, i love it. I dont like tedious, slow, boring games, and thats what i am expecting from GT5, but i also think it could eventually grow on me if i manage to spend some time with the game. Here is hoping i dont burn out on it too early to appreciate the game.

Im loving the game so far!

i actually like the slow introduction and slow cars.. its letting me really get a feel on some of the mechanics that i need a bit to master. i was never very good at gt4. AT transmission, full speed, bash into other cars to steer... so this time im really taking the time to learn everything, and so far im doing pretty good :D

Im loving all the cars. theres so many here, it so hard to choose! i want to try them all! even if 750 arnt premium.. can you imagine trying to upgrade every single one of them? noooo...

I do have a couple gripes though:
1) i wish you could take every car into the photo setting.. but now i just race on a nice track and take photos there.
2) is anyone else getting severe lag between screens? when switching from garage to My home, or My Home to arcade, or back to the main screen I am hitting lag time of 10secs to 3minutes waiting for the game to respond... a few times the cursor has disappeared completely for a minute or so then pops back in... I have a feeling this is related to the game pinging the server, and since theyre stressed, hopefully it goes away soon.
3) i need a wheel.. but.. bleh..

On launch the first demo i downloaded was GT.....it was very weird, but I did get into the drifitng and what not....but overall I get bored very very fast with racing games......
