tons of ppl still play warhawk, there are atleast 500,000 player accounts on the rankings and I play often but haven't been in the top 25000 since the earlier days of the game. However, this can create a problem bc there are a lot of pros at warhawk, some that put me to shame (and I have over 150 hrs in the game), which could scare off noobs like yourself. Hopefully the new tutorials coming in the 1.5 patch (due august 27th) should help the noobs from being scared off.

when you start out, be sure to play on the rookie servers, it's still sort of overwhelming, but they have a limit to the highest ranking players can be. Just set the "max rank" to "Sergent" in the filter and you should have no trouble finding them. Have fun :)
