Hell yeah man.
GT1 made my jaw hit the FLOOR.
GT3 same.
5, it won't get back up.
OmegaOrtega
I forgot all about the demo, i was thinking saturday UK time, thanks im downloading it now, good timing after playing allot of shooters lately i wanted to play some hardcore racing so iwas playing forza 2 earlier so its awesome to be able to check out gt 5 now.
Although i'd rather they just got hard at work bringing us the real GT5 game god knows it takes them forever to make gt games so i think id rather they just fully concentrated on the real gt5.
Im assuming the physics handling is allot better than the gt:hd demo as it was completly off in that demo, but knowing the king of sim racers am sure its spot on.
i was the same as you OmegaOrtega, GT made me go nuts i played that game forever my fav car was a mitsubushi something i forget, it was my fav car as when upgraded it had by far the most HP in the game and was fast as a mother hubard.
Gt 2 was poor IMO i just didnt like it, i remember buying it thinking woo hoo a new gt since id been playing 1 forever but it just didnt feel the same and it was like a big step back.
GT3 was awesome, but then GT4 was kinda just the same game.
So going off history GT5 should be a totally new awesome gt game, and by having online i dont have to worry about the crappy AI, just pure online racing, i hope it has an online carear mode.
when are they gonna make a freakin wheel for the ps3??? gt5 looks sick, but i hate playing the" real" racing games with joysticksballasteve
yeah a racing wheel makes these game even better, i plan on getting one, and plus it was cool that in the options it had the option to turn rumble on the Dualshock 3 on or off.
Notice has the demo already had DualShock 3 incorporated into it?
Go into the options and it is there. I wish there was an option to turn off the music, but I cant read japanese.

Hi Ballasteve! I believe Logitech wheels works with PS3. I know need for speed: Carbon and I believe the GT:HD demo support them. I don't own one so you will have to do more research.
it s out on the japanese PSN Store
Man that game is just beautifull, the physics are even better than GT4...I m very impressed.
If u like drvivng game especialy simulator u cant miss this game.
new to the series but the demo just so hard for me, can somebody give me some advices?raystorm87
Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.....that s the best advice i can give you :)
dont try to go too fast into the corners and u ll do fine
the music is the second option in audio, default is 75.......... however it's cool if you choose pro difficulty!! only2 things to add:
Reverse lights andchanging gear animation
Not downloading it yet because I've exceeded my monthly download limit (damn Australia and its hopeless internet providers), but does it have the in car view. I love GT games, I still play GT4 most days. I agree it was more of an update to GT3 rather than a new game, but since it is more recent, I play it loads.
Not very interested in all the prologue stuff though, I won't buy the actual prologue, just wait for the full game.

maybe its already in there, did you try to use MT instead of AT?

you should check out the Logitech G25 racing wheel HERE I believe that this wheel will work with the PS3 as well as the game DIRT already supports it. It's expensive, but it's the best thing out there!

matter of fact i'm gona go try it with prolog right now i'll let you know!jackle2071
sounds good, i'll await your return :P
the best wheel nowadays is Logitech's $300 G25, then Logitech's GT Force Pro(Which by the name you know it's designed for the GT series), which has discontinued but they release a $135 Driving Force Pro, which should be identical to its predecessor but with a different name and a different wheel logolhbchen
lol, i wish i had 300 bucks to spend on a driving wheel, yeah thats the wheel we were talking about, its listed at 169 on the logitech homepage thouhg. link
the gt5 demo is 1 of my favs it defently show the ps3's power and its hands down the best look racing game cant wait for the full version the cars look real i meen like they do when you star at a car in real lifeflippin amazing gt is back abby and better then ever and i also cant wait tell the put in damage effects via update

The cord is fairly long. long enough but not over kill you know? It works well with Prolog the Force Feedback and everything is intacted and wokrs well. Full 900 dagree Wheel rotation. the only thing i noticed was the pedales are not quite as presher sensative as i thought, they work well though. if it jives with your other racing games i say get it! at the time when i got this thing it was the top of the line and 200 bucks! and its still a damn good wheel![QUOTE="lhbchen"]the best wheel nowadays is Logitech's $300 G25, then Logitech's GT Force Pro(Which by the name you know it's designed for the GT series), which has discontinued but they release a $135 Driving Force Pro, which should be identical to its predecessor but with a different name and a different wheel logoamericahellyeah

If you check the US website of Logitech and Bestbuy, it's around USD135.
I know that $300 G25 is expensive, but the quality DOES surpass GTFP and looks better, although not by a lot. Anyway, I have my GTFP since GT4 launched and I've got no complains.

I'm guessing NFS Pro STreet will also support it, seeing as EA is fairly good with those kinds of things. Thanks for the help :)

i just finished playing the GT5 prologue demo, it's amazing, i couldn't stand GT4, but omg the physics are simply amazing, its like the perfect racing game! anyone else?americahellyeah
i strongly disagree. I do think the controls / handling is MUCH better now. but it still lacks the feel of power behind the cars. just bumping of a wall while slamming in to it with 200 km/hour does not help.... the horrible screetching sound of the tires is very unimmersive...
no, the controls are good and the cars look good. the rest needs to be improved.

yeah the tire screeching can be kinda annoying, but if you're slamming into the wall at 200km you're not playing the game right :P just remeber that this is a demo of a demo, and plus it's an older build.
The driving physics are great, especially the drift physics, it just feels so awsome drifting around every corner and sticking to the track at a 150km! for only 700 MB this demo is amazing, i have no idea how to unlock the other cars though. any idea?

true, but bumping other cars feels as bad.
I know the game has a long way to go. i just hope they will adress all those isuues.. or i waill not buy it.. i don't buy a game to show of, i buy it to play.
unlocking.. no.. haven't won with all cars yet.. but doesn't that unlock stuff??

No i won with all the cars i didn't unlock anything. Gameplay wise. I'm just happy they tweaked the the controls. the cars felt way to restrictive before.[QUOTE="Always-Honest"][QUOTE="americahellyeah"]yeah the tire screeching can be kinda annoying, but if you're slamming into the wall at 200km you're not playing the game right :P just remeber that this is a demo of a demo, and plus it's an older build.

I thought the physics for bumping into other cars where okay, but the devs said that the full GT game will have damage modeling and crash physics, this demo is barely scratching the surface of GT5, with a year to go i'm sure they'll have fully adressed all concerns by launch time. I think its fine as is, except for the tire screeching.
I played it and was sucking hard, I kept flying into the sand. Then I realized I hadn't been pushing the right button for braking, i guess I was pushing the hand brake button. Afterwards I was able to win without much difficulty.
I can't wait for the beind the steering wheel view. It's never felt quite right driving a simulator game from the 3rd person view but I can't stand driving from the hood of the car.
The demo just has one track and 4 or 5 cars, right?
