Say, for a laugh, we're trying to see what kind of lap times we can run as does the "Star in the Reasonably Priced Car" segment of "Top Gear"... I know it's a horrid Chevy lump, but what exactly IS that model blue thing they use in the more-recent series, and is it available in GT5? If not, what is it in specs? A 1.7 liter four-cylinder whatsit?

Right.

That's the most rescent series' car (red or maroon, saw Simon Pegg driving online)... Anyone know the blue Chevy saloon from series 10-13? And what the first car they started with?

Thank you VERY much for the response, BTW!!!

:D

The two little blue cars that Top Gear uses in series 1-7 is the Suzuki while they use the Chevy Lacetti from series 8-14. They constantly call the Chevy a Suzuki because it's practically the same car just with different badging :P:P

Whats really funny about GT5 having the Top Gear test track, my friend and I actually did a lap and compared it to the Stig's lap. We usually beat his by a second or two and we did terribly. So don't think that GT5 is a great representation (especially when a gamepad with a terrible driver can beat the Stig's time with relative ease).

The Stig does those laps from a standing start. Also, the amount of traction that various types of tires get in the game doesn't bear much resemblance to what their real-life counterparts are capable of. A guy over on GT Planet actually did a fairly involved study of lateral G forces of various car/tire combinations in the game vs. real-life and found the results were all over the place.
