GT5 vs Motorstorm vs Pure

I want to get a racing game soon. I downloaded the Pure demo and loved it, however two things are bothering me. Firstly it is the lack of vehicles (only Quadbikes can be used), secondly it is Multi-Patform and I would like an exclusive game.

Motorstorm: Pacific rift looks amazing, many vehicles and it is exclusive. However graphics dont look as great as Pure and it also doesnt look quite as dramatic.

Now for GT5, it has the best graphics and probably the best gameplay and online but no damage and it isnt an off-road racer (which I like most)

However, all three games appeal to me. So which do you think would be the best investment?

I'd go with GT5P, its a lot cheaper, much better graphics and is actually a realisitic racing game, I mean jumping 100 ft in the air and dancing on a quad, wtf? GT5P have real cars and tracks while pure and motorstorm have crazy ones.

The tricks in pure seem useless, the extra vechiles are ok in motorstorm but I think the monster truck is rubbish and there are loads of cars in GT5P.

In my opinion.

And whats that surposed to mean? Publishing is the same as making the game. I still don't see what a racing game like Pure has to do with Disney..

I'm just curious as to why it's so important that the game is an exclusive or not. If you like it, so what if it's available on another platform? Am I not right?

On the subject, it's definitely Pure for me! I'll pick it up on day one.

its much better to buy a ps2 version instead of GT5P, its a waste of money to buy a demo for 30 bucks or lower.

Motorstorm 2 is what I would go with.

Seconded. Grid is an arcade racer in a sim racers clothes.. Cars dont spin out like that in real life. a few ovesteers in Grid and the half-arse physics are painfully apparent.

For off road Motorstorm>>>>>>>Pure

For ultra realistic physics and handling dynamics (the closest most people will get to experiencing real racing) GT5>>>>>>>>>>>>>ALL!

And I wouldnt count damage out of GT5 yet if its not in the initial release it will be in an update.

GT5P, is not an ultra realistic driving game, but its damn close at least. There is an update for Q4 2008/Q1 2009 that will include damage modeling to the game.

I am a Motorstorm fan. And I know that the races WILL get crazier and above all, tougher (tough to the point you want to cut yourself).

If you want a challenge, vehicle variety and an exclusive game, get Motorstorm. If you want to have fun and do tricks got for PURE.

I will get both.

Get Motorstorm!!! It will blow the doors off of pure. I played the demo of pure and while it was fun at first, it got kind of boring after I played it a few times. I remember playing the original motorstorm demo for months and had a blast with it. I loved the first motorstorm, my favorite racer of all time.

As far as graphics go, motorstorm will take the cake. Have you played the first motorstorm? It still looks like one of the best games on ps3 from a graphics standpoint--right up there with uncharted and lair. So it will look much better than Pure, but the cars won't look as good as GT5. You are just comparing Motorstorm PR with videos that have been compressed, wait till the final copy is out, it will blow the doors off of pure.

I personaly never cared much for GT series as there is no real sense of speed. Motorstrom has speed, dirt, water, mud, destruction, and never fails to put a smile on your face and laugh your a$$ off as you crash your friend into the side of a cliff.

GT5 (Not out yet)

Motorstorm

These are all COMPLETELY different type of racing games. If you want to race Quads and do tricks, then go with Pure. If you want offroad racing with great damage and physics, go with Motorstorm. If you want to race cars, then go with GT5.

They are different type of games. If you where the difference in GT5 and Forza2. Now you have a discussion in your hands.

Also on the Exclusive remark. Why does it matter? If you like a game, who cares if it's exclusive or not. As long as it's available in the platform you have.

I do more look forward to FUEL.. A new game from Codemasters.. its a freeroam game, where, in the middle of the races, mother nature sets in with a tornado.. COOL!! 8)
