GTA 5 great scores so far but LBP3 not reviewed yet

Anytime a game review is embargoed until the day of release is always a sinking feeling of poor reviews. I really want this type of fluffy game without violence for a change of pace with the story and great, deep editor to make trailers etc. LBP 3 already doesn't seem to be getting any substantial advertising for a kids style game that could pull in sales in groves. Sony once again do mysterious crap. Hopefully I am wrong a review is coming out today. I bought 3 games from the target deal,,,, AC unity, Driveclub and COD AW. I don't want to keep COD and need to decide if I want to trade in AC and COD for LBP 3 and GTA 5. I read the great reviews on GTA 5 but since I had the PS3 version I am not sure to get it again. I want to try the 1st person view but not go thru the story again. AC unity is new to me and I liked the day I rented it. If LBP 3 is medicore then I may keep AC unity and swap COD AW for GTA 5.

I already confirmed with manager at Target that if you don't open games you can trade them in to another game of the same value.

I'm not really worried about lbp3. it might not be as good as the first 2 but I still expect it to be fun. it is strange to me tho that sony seems to not be advertising it hardly at all. when lbp2 came out sackboy was practically the new sony mascot

@AJC3317: What Sony does is bewildering to me a lot of the times since PS4 came out. You would think they will try to make up for driveclub not doing well with bad press for the online component. I think they are arrogant and just think LBP 3 will sell well based on its reputation. I haven't bought a LBP before and I like the LBP 3 demo but its not enough for me to determine its longevity. I need reviews to be sure its the game for me. I have looked at twitch and Youtube stuff but I need to know if the story is any good since its the main seller this time.

I hope its good... Sackboy is Sony's number 1 Mascot and they should really take it more seriously. They shouldn't stop at Karting. They can do more with him.

It seems to support a stronger engine more versatile for making a wide arrange of games. It looks promising. I'm guessing an 8

I think the embargo for the LBP 3 review will finish early tommorrow(I think around 1amPT).

@super600: its still mess up to be the day of release and its morning of release 3am for east coast. Far cry, dragon age and GTA5 all days prior to release. We see where this could lead with AC unity review given on day of release. I still think it's core game is good but ubsoft had to know about the glitches and bugs. I am afraid that my rental was bug free but buying the game I havent open could have bugs. It seem like even some reviewers saw no bugs the other reviewers had a swamp of bugs. LBP 3 could be great let down.

Has anyone seen the videos of GTA 5? Where are all the dense traffic and heavy crowds they bragged about? It seem to me like either the same amount or even less. Gamespot has a hr and half video in first person. I skim thru video but saw at least 30-40 min and the crowd and traffic look thin to me.

Well seeing as LBP3 is already out here (yes its the 18th), I'll give my opinion of it in a few hours.

And if your expecting a good LBP3 story, then don't, its not about the story mode anyway, that's just a demo of what's possible, the community then takes over.

Well ign gave bad score and gamespot and polygon 7's but good news a lot of 8's from games radar, usgamer, joystiq, pushsquare, game informer, now gamer and ps nation . Waiting for reviews from eurogamer and video gamer.

My concern are the bugs even after day one patch per ign and single player short and not using new characters as much as hope for not can't switch to any character in co op. Game still looks and sound good from most reviewers.

i played the first few levels and it's still as fun as ever. the new popit levels are great. I'm fairly surprised at the low scores, I would have expected around an 8, but oh well

@AJC3317: @AJC3317: good to hear. I heard story is shortest of series but do you play the zillion made levels from prior lbp's online? Is co op really restrictive where you can't switch to other characters? Vic so does it effect the fun of the new characters? I do want this game just double checking if a good buy. Is it the co op levels from the story or the zillionn creative levels? What make co op different than multiplayer?

Well Sony has redeemed itself with 5 demos today and driveclub add on. I'm very impressed. Far cry 4 and destiny then 3 other interesting games. Don't has made up for 3-6 months of demos in one day. Then we get infamous last light next month.

Story is rather short, shortest of the series but every previous level from the previous games is available to play so there's already a million levels, and multiplayer/co-op works.

@GTR12: thanks. Once again Ubisoft akways want money. Far cry isn't a demo but u need a friend to have far cry to get in the demo like a share play. So it's called a demo but you can't go anywhere without a invite from friend.

Destiny is a pretty game and not bad to play and a real demo. It needs more than shooting to keep interest. I wander iif you can fight battles with space ships? I know you can get a hover craft. The music is superb.

Man I am impressed with destiny it's gorgeous graphics and great shooting mechanics so this is a slice of halo. I mean the demos huge and I played for over a hr and a level 4.

Lbp3 is a nice game and I will play it a lot more over the week or weekend. So far I give LBP 3 a 8/10. It seems to have quit a bit of loading but not for a long time.
